Man, do we have a fight for you today! First up, well you gotta fire up your 80s music, get your workout montage goin, cause we got Thor. The God of Thunder. Strongest Avenger, one of the strongest heroes in all the MCU! A thousand year old warrior who now just always loves cracking a good joke. And who’s he goin up against?
Well its none other than Superman! The Man of Steel, the Last Son of Krypton, the forgotten player in the DCEU, cause I guess we would rather see - I don’t know, the Flash have a mental breakdown or a Booster Gold and Metal Men movie? Can’t really explain that one, but now - fingers crossed - Superman is finally coming back
So, if these two heroes ever crossed paths, decided to come to blows…who’d be coming out on top here? Who’d win this fight? Well today, thats what we’re gonna figure out! We’re gonna talk about who’s stronger, who’s got better powers, which one is more impressive - surviving a nuclear bomb or a star - and most importantly, who’d win? Well lets get into it!

I think the speed feat is cheap. Poorly done as well. You went based off only CGI effects rather than raw feats. Thor constantly reacted to light speed, and he was able to counter all 6 infinity stones at once with one throw of Stormbreaker, thats a universal level Attack Feat. Its also a FTL feat because the infinity stones transcend lightspeed, especially all together.

​@@ZarPplstorm breaker didn't actually overpower the stones if you look carefully you can see that storm breaker summoned the bifrost to teleport the energy away so technically it wasn't hitting anything until it impaled thanos which still couldn't kill him. Hell it didn't even weaken him enough to a point where he'd die from the snap.

Also even wonder woman has reacted to lightspeed attack, like blocking doomsday's heat vision at point blank range multiole times, but look what happened to her when superman was fighting flash, she was completely motionless !

Superman isn't standing there to be impaled by Stormbreaker or hit by anything Thor has like Thanos did. He's moving out of the way. Superman unlike most super durable people isn't trying to tank attacks. He just moves more often than not. No matter how powerful you are if you can't hit someone you can't win. Superman can ultimately snap his neck before he can blink. Too much speed for most combatants. Anyone capable of tracking flash with their eyes while he's speed blitzing isn't someone I would want to fight.

To prove Superman has better tanking, you'd have to prove his raw durability is solar system level+, because that's where current Thor's durability falls in line with. Thor's AP is also around large star level+, so for AP you'd have to prove that Superman hits that hard. Majority of the higher tier MCU characters are MFTL so speed isn't really an issue either. Now prove to me why fucking Wonder Woman beats Thor, please, I need a laugh.

Here’s the thing, that neutron star would’ve powered superman up so ridiculously much that it would be unfathomable what he could do.the thing is, it does not matter if neutron stars can be various colors. The star Thor dealt with was not red. With this star, worst case scenario is was a yellow neutron star which would have just served as a sun dip. If it was white then it would have boosted his powers extremely. If it where blue then it would have not only boosted his powers, but also would have given him more powers.

Superman overcame the terraforming of a planet along with the transmutation of its gravitational force. That’s hard to overlook along with Superman’s speed and regenerative healing factor and solar amping. That being said, Superman will hit more frequently with more potent attacks.

While I might want to give Thor a slight edge with durability feat..it is simply still arguable as Thor doesn't seem to have many impressive resistance to piercing attacks. Sup was most likely weakened by kryptonite poisoning before taking that nuclear attack to the face and he is definitely surviving a neutron star no probs. The strength feat is clearly going to Sups, in combat he has shown far more attacking strength, tossing Batman with a touch in BVS and don't mention the punches in all showings. Thor depended on his lightening & enchanted weapons to perform most of his strength feats and his (non-lightening) attacking strength is weak asf compared to Sups in mcu and dceu. Even without the speed, I think Sup wins 7 out of 10. Thor lost to Thanos (using both Storm breaker and Mjoir) and had Cap and IM fighting the same villain at the same time. There is still no proof storm breaker is cutting through Sups skin and Storm breaker is a weapon that can be used against Thor too.

Thor in Thor 1 could dodge Destroyer's beams and Thor in Thor 2 could save Loki from something similar to a black hole, and Thor becomes faster in Ragnarok and Infinity War.

I don't think so, however it is arguable as we didn't see so much of Odin but just information that states he should be above Thor's current state in the mcu. Odin himself stated that Thor is stronger than him, and Odin doesn't have that many feats to make it more believable that Thor has not surpassed him, Thor has not shown Odin's level of magic. And Thor was stabbed by Loki who is really strong and his skin was pierced by Hella who is stronger than Thor in Thor : Ragnarok.

With a character that outputs strength feats in excess of hundreds and thousands to his body weight, his BMI and body shape has very little to do with his power output 9 out of 10 at the very least. He was simply overpowered because Thanos is a much more powerful and formidable opponent. Even on Thors best day, Thanos will most likely stomp him nevertheless. TBH, I see neither Thanos nor Thor on the level of the Brute strength displayed by the big guns in the Dceu. The likes of Sups, Zod, doomsday, other Kryptonians, and even WW and Steppenwolf, but then we are just here for the fun aren't we?

Dont forget supes casually side stepped flash in the SC and even kept up with him in combat speed( momentarily stunning him) while the rest of the league deadass was still in the same position in mid air. He’s basically so fast he can see time if he wanted to a complete if not almost stand still- shown when he casually dodged and dicked steppenwolf. His freeze breath completely shattered stepphenwolfs axe which was shown being able to handle clashing with aquamans trident , WWs reforged sword, and slice through victor, who’s essentially assimulated with new god technology. Steppenwolf was mentioned and said to been conquering for well over 10,000 years and still was outclassed by clark in all areas, and like you said he fought the original doomsday and destroyed the moon and battlefied they were on, and supes completely dicked, and slapped an older more experienced steppenwolf down. Superman before his motherbox resurrection was already capable of shifting tectonic plates and showcasing, while weakened, still have enough strength to penetrate and kill doomsday. Superman post resurrection if he was apparently “amped” by the motherbox would just put his power leagues beyond that now, which is pretty insane and impressive storytelling considering his lesser display of feats.

1- superman can go a little above the speed of sound ( average lightning speed ) 2- Thor caught a lightning bolt in love and thunder 3- Thor managed to escape the destroyer's rays. 4- Thor, was able to move in quicksilver perception 5- Yes, Superman can withstand up to 3.5 million degrees. But thor withstood the core temperature of the neutron star. The SURFACE temperature of a neutron star is 10 million degrees. Now consider the temperature of the core of a neutron star. Lifting the tectonic plate is one thing, pushing it is another. It takes strength to lift and kinetic energy to push. Even the kinetic energy generated when holding Thor's nidavellir rings is greater than that generated in the tectonic plate. ( you can investigate ) Or you cry. The choice is yours footnote: not the heat of Thor's lightning bolt against Superman, it's the magic of her lightning bolt.

What Thor fans tend to forget is that when Superman took the nuke he was still weak from the Kryptonite exposure from his fight with batman earlier seeing as how he still had the cut on his face, and when superman and doomsday took the nuke , doomsday got stronger they always seem to forget that, and when superman was exposed to the sun he was just fully healed and recovered from the kryptonite exposure and the nuclear explosion, but not amped, its not like he was sundiped he was just brought back to full strength. Using the neutron star as a durability feat for Thor doesn't work simply because the neutron star in the infinity war acted nothing like a real life neutron star, plus Thor routinely gets hurt and injured by attacks that are of less magnitude to that neutron star, Thor's durability is very inconsistent more so that at one point he can supposedly withstand a neutron star but next gets hurt from punches from thanos, and I am pretty sure MCU thanos punches are way weaker than the neutron star Thor took earlier

Definitely right about the outcome of this fight. And yes the nuke did hurt Superman bad he was also poisoned by kryptonite dust inhalation and the spear as well. This means he was severely weakened at the time he took the nuke too and don’t know how durable he actually his. We also know he took Stepenwolf’s axe directly to the shoulder without taking a single bit of damage. This was a weapon that was in the doomsday fight that helped destroy a moon…..and Superman took it without ANY issue at all. So we really don’t know if Thor is actually more durable or not. And Thor isn’t any stronger either. I would put their strength/durability on par with each other for sure. Superman’s speed/striking/strength/heat vision combo would be to much for Thor.

The problem is that Thor has the tools to defeat Superman. For instance: 1) Lightning traveling over 200,000 miles per hour. Thus, hitting his opponents before they can even mentally process the attack. You can't see lightning coming; nor you can't predict the angle of where the lightning will strike. Thor can conjure up multiple lightning bolts at the same time. What's more, Thor can literally attack his opponents with lightning bolts coming from his body even.. One mega lightning bolt like the one that went through a skyscraper and literally KO Hela would be more than sufficient to kill Superman 2) Weapon such as Mjolnir travels at super speed- like when it broke through Earth's orbit in just a matter of seconds ( see Thor the Dark World). If you carefully watch how Thor was literally tossing the hammer at Surtur and coming back to him at Super Speed- tells you that is NOT ALL Thor super strength that is involved, but his overwhelming mental command of his hammer. Stormbreaker should be way more powerful in terms of both speed and strength ( Thor going through Thanos ships in Wakanda like knife through butter) than Mjolnir- so that should be a huge problem for Super. 3) I think that if Thor were to stunned Superman with a lightning bolt, he could easily kill him with a weapon like Stormbreaker. However, if he were to strike him with the force he broke the Brifost (see Ragnarok), he would put him down for good. The fact that it took several blows from Mjolnir to break it in his first movie tells you how powerful that blow was. 4) Thor easily deflected The Destroyer's blast that travelled at super speed. This could counter most attacks by speedsters. They would assume that Thor can't counter their super speed to their regret.

Hear me out. The Canadian Lad explains how Thor defends against superman attacks even with super speed. It was confirmed by Marvel that Odin, being the god if wisdom, knows every attack, every angle, and even his spear is nick-named “the spear that never misses” which it is impossible for it to miss a hit, it just not possible, i dont know how it works. Also, Odin is more powerful than the infinity stones. he can counter any attack, and thanos even waited for Odins death before collecting. Odin can use his infinite wisdom to understand every possible outcome, like in chess, and analize the way he could win. It is also confirmed by Marvel that the firstborn takes some of the power from the all-father after his death, and after hela died, now Thor gained some of that power. I’m just saying, I still think Thor can win.

It's a bit wrong with Sokovia. Thor technically did not destroy Sokovia. He only destroyed the core of the Doomsday Trigger (equipment that make the city float) which already supercharged by heat shield created by Iron Man. Thor's lighting hit in the core caused a chain reaction of energy explosion to entire Doomsday Trigger which supported entire city and inevitably destroyed it and vaporized the city it's supported along with it.

Thor isn't a little bit stronger or more durable. He's definitely weaker. Let's put it in perspective. Stormbreaker isn't enchanted for sharpness. It has no additional cutting power than a regular axe, with the exception that it is made of Uru, which makes it nearly indestructible. This is the only reason why it can cut beings like Thanos because it can be wielded by Thor and his incredible strength. Steppenwolf's axe is also not enchanted for cutting, is very strong, though not as durable as Uru metal, but was swung by a being I'd say is close to Thor's strength. And that axe did nothing to Supes. Stormbreaker is enchanted to absorb and manipulate energy, dimensional energy (Bifrost), generate lightning, enhance Thor's lightning, and allow Thor to fly effortlessly. That is all. Therefore, I would say Supes is more durable than Thor since his own axe was also used to cut into his chest. I agree with the speed being a deciding factor as well, but due to the fact that Superman can easily survive inside of a star, but he'd actually gain power from it. Thor nearly died. So, even in a fight where speed wasn't a factor, I still think Superman would win. The only downside as mentioned in the video is Thor has more combat experience. However, despite that, Superman fought many of his own kind who were genetically bred to be of the warrior class, and had incredible combat experience of their own too. And he beat them as well.

Superman can bathe in a date for thousands of years and Thor can’t stand a small star for a minute so Superman takes durability but Thor has more endurance and Superman is stronger he just wins there’s not much of a debate. Also the world engine that Superman destroys is beaming down on him with the gravity of our sun, a strait constant beam that keeps all the planets in orbit. And Superman’s laser eyes are solar energy stored in his cells strait from the sun. And the way Superman flys he creates his own gravitational force field witch he can alter to fly and hold heavy objects so in theory he has infinite strength.

The one thing you overlooked is that Superman is weak against magic. Thor has an enchantment on both Mjolnir and Stormbreaker. Not to mention he has the Thor force since becoming king of Asgard. In the comics when the earth decided to try and take him out, they sent something like a 150 nukes at him and he just opened a portal and swallowed them. And not just that but he spun Mjolnir faster than the speed of thought. He can also open up portals to other dimensions so he could just transport them to a place with a red sun or no sun at all and poof there goes Supes power.

Superman isn't weak to magic he's just vulnerable to it like in the comics he was still able to stand up to a whole universe of magic and withstood shazam and black Adam who both use magic. Plus this isn't comics it's live action and we haven't even seen how superman in the dceu fairs against magic yet and so you can't say for certain that magic will affect because from how its presented unless there's kryptonite involved superman is arguably invincible.

This gives him the upper hand when it comes to Battle IQ and adaptability. - Flight... unlike Thor who needs to propel himself with the force of his lightning and the weight of Mjolnir or Stormbreaker, Superman can actually fly around casually. This gives him the advantage in "movement" overall, as shown when he basically danced around Steppenwolf like a hawk hunting a squirrel. - his cells can regenerate quickly from damage as long as it's not caused by kryptonite. And they can absorb solar energy and make him stronger, or just help him recover from being fatigued mid fight etc. He has other minor abilities, but to say Thor has more "versatility" with lightning therefore his abilities are better than the "heat vision" is just complete cap. Steppenwolf's armour was tanking hits from other divine weapons just fine, the heat vision burned right through it with ease. Superman outclasses Thor by a long shot in terms of hax, speed and power.

People say thor is more durable than superman because he took the full force of a dying star while superman almost died to a nuke but people don't consider that superman was in a very highly weakened state at the time and still suffering from the effects of kryptonite which is obviously something thor is never going to be equipped with and plus a nuke up close is like 100 times hotter than a neutron star. Don't believe me look it up a neutron star is 1 million degrees while a nuke is 100 million degrees and plus thor wasn't taking really it he was getting hurt seriously bad from it and also very nearly died from it. Plus if superman was there it would have done the opposite to him it would have powered him up so much. And don't say " ooh thor is a god with no weaknesses whereas superman is an alien with weaknesses)" no that is far from the case at all whenever thor is in a fight with someone on a similar level of strength and power to superman he gets his ass handed to him most of the time and bleeds and gets knocked out with just brute force alone hell he was even having trouble against iron-man while superman gets battered with even stronger punches and blasted with hotter energy and not a scratch or any signs of him feeling any pain at all. Plus superman's heat vision is way way hotter than a neutron star that thor took and so no way thor can tank that and that heat vision which is already hotter got overpowered by doomsdays heat vision he took it point blank and it did nothing to him at all. And people say that "oh superman can't speedblitz thor thor reacted to light speed" superman is way way way faster than the speed of light and superman can not only react but keep up with the flash who I've heard can run a trillion times faster than light. With strength well true thor has shown some more impressive strength feats but there's absolutely no reason to say that superman can't do all the same things and thor hasn't shown to have anywhere near the same punching power and so basically thor can (for now) lift more but superman can punch harder (there is a difference between the two) and don't you dare debate me here look at supermans punches compared to thors and if you mention his weapons that's different and I know its been confirmed that mijolnir and storm breaker are not thors source of strength but from how its presented he definitely needs them to really channel and use his full power. Plus superman is way smarter with kryptonian intelligence while thor isn't dumb but also isn't very bright either. Also with their special abilities well thors lighting isn't going to do anything to superman and we'll the odin force might do but we've never really seen him really capitalising on it and so it's highly unlikely hell do it here and plus the odin force has never shown to be very powerful and hasn't nearly killed significantly weaker foes and we'll I already mentioned superman's heat vision but then there's also his frost breath which I can definitely see him using to shatter thors weapons like how he did with Stephenwolfs axe which is made of the same metal so don't start. I know thor does have way more battle iq and experience and skill in combat than superman but if you are up against someone who is much faster tougher and can punch harder and has powers and abilities that can do heavy amounts of damage to you but your power isn't going to hurt them well there's not really much you can do. We aren't talking about comics here this is live action which clearly states nidivalir to be a dying neutron star and judging from how big it was a dying dwarf neutron star that had only just been awakened. When you say thor reacted to quicksilver that was a very sluggish version of quicksilver who even had difficulty dodging bullets and plus the directors even confirmed that thor isn't very fast in live action anyway. When he beat surtur that was base surtur before he'd been United with the eternal flame and thor only new how to defeat him because surtur essentially told him how to by removing his crown. And when you say that thor withstood the power stone to the face thanos clearly wasn't using the stones full power there he was using it to test loki by just torturing thor but not kill him with it. When you said that thor would need so much strength to move the rings of nidivalir well yes true but the calculated weight of the rings is around 40 to 45 trillion tonnes which might look impressive until you do some research and find that a tectonic plate is actually a million times heavier than that being 44 quintillion tonnes and before you say it I know zack snyder confirmed that superman was unable to shift a tectonic plate but would he really be a million times weaker, he more or less has around a hundredth or a thousandth of the required strength to shift it which still puts him like 1000 to 10000 times stronger than thor. As for storm breaker overpowering the gauntlet here's the thing it didn't actually overpower the infinity gauntlet it was using the bifrost to teleport the energy away from the axe if you look carefully and so it wasn't overpowering anything until it actually impaled thanos and people completely overrate that bit it didn't even weaken thanos enough to a point where the snap would kill him and keep in mind thanos started bleeding against iron man who in terms of striking strength is hardly city level.
