The Phoenix can actually operate outside time and space. That place is called White Hot Room and it is unaffected of what is happening in the reality. Psylocke and Rachel Grey was once pulled in the White Hot Room during HoM and they were not affected on what Wanda did. The Phoenix can view the whole of creation as a single thread from an outside view. From the moment everything came to be, what is current and what the future could be is at its mercy. The interesting thing here is that House Of M Wanda became that powerful when she had a link to the life force which made her go insane, it's not like she always erase things from reality with ease. I mean on one hand you have a powerful mutant with telepathy and telekinesis....... but on the other hand you have a another individual, who has powers over the flow of Mana(Magic)...also is a pretty powerful telepath.......but it is even more powerful with the ability to change reality. In fact it almost terrifies me to think what would happen if the Phoenix did pick Scarlet witch as it original host.....also considering the fact that Wanda never really had a very stable personality. She probably would've went dark Phoenix a lot faster than jean did. But the fact that the Phoenix says that Jean is her perfect match probably means exactly that... that even if there were more powerful candidates... jean and the phoenixes compatibility was probably like a key and a lock.

While I usually agree with your Battle Arena assessments, you got this one wrong. Dark Phoenix utterly annihilates Scarlet Witch with impunity for one reason: consistency. Phoenix has an overall consistency to its vast power while Wanda's are all over the place (depending on the plot needs by the writers). She is shown to be kept easily sedated by both Strange and Xavier -- and we know that Phoenix's mental abilities DWARF both of theirs. Rachel-Phoenix defeated Galactus! Wanda's casual universe-scale reality warping is a PLOT-CRUTCH used by hack-writers to advance plots at the expense of consistency and continuity, therefore you CANNOT count on Wanda to be that powerful at any given moment. But the Phoenix is ALWAYS a universal cosmic-level threat.

Before watching video :dark Phoenix stalemated galactus, held the universe in her hands, survived her body being destroyed Scarlet witch has amazing power but she's still a normal human. She's been killed before and her reality warping hasn't been shown to affect beings like death,eternity,and even galactus. And even then the Phoenix force is all life to ever exist. This is something scarlet can't go against. There is nothing stopping dark Phoenix from just disentigrating Wanda within seconds of seeing her

Jean can always ascend to a third level known as White Phoenix Of The Crown which is her most powerful state. In Avengers VS X-Men, it was revealed that the Phoenix Force prevented Wanda's spell from eliminating all mutants from Earth. Wanda was unable to hurt a fully powered Phoenix Cyclops and she had stated that she had used all of her power.

The mind stone is universal and the emron crystal is multiversal, so when infinity stone powers are absorbed into characters, they actually gain the abilty to use that power beyond the scope of the stones themselves. In a way, that puts them both ahead of infinity gauntlet thanos. Either one could kill him from outside of the universe he is in, removing his advantage. If these two fought seriously, the battle might course through any number of universes before it could be settled.

I think Scarlet Witch＞Jean Grey And Phoenix＞Scarlet witch Yeah,scarlet witch can banish Phoenix temporarily but she cannot defeat it since Phoenix is immortal. Edit:And also chaos magic has been described as on par with PF,they are like Yin and Yang,so chaos magic is one of the only things that can hurt Phoenix. Both, Chaos Magic and The Life Force, are Ying and Yang, they're equal. But even in the comics have stated that the phoenix force is susceptible to chaos magic.

That's actually incorrect. The Phoenix at full power was completely immune to Wanda's powers and shrugged them off. Hope Summers had to copy Wanda's powers, and then they attacked the Phoenix together to take it down (and even then it just left for a while and came back once Jean returned).

@Scarlet Phoenix They meant the Phoenix Force. The Life Force is a separate concept. It is what gave Wanda the crazy levels of power that she had in House of M. But after House of M, she no longer has the Life Force, and therefore her powers go back to their normal levels. But yes, in terms of this context, I believe Ayrandros meant to say the Phoenix Force.

It took Hope doubling Wanda's powers to take down the Phoenix. Chaos magic itself may be infinite, but that doesn't mean the person harnessing it can use it to that extent. Chaos magic may not have limits, but the user of it does.
