BTS got the collaboration after breaking in the western world Even before they debuted they already have fans from across the globe. When they arrived in the US for the 1st time for American Hustle Life they were already greeted by fans at LAX this was before RM's collaboration with Warren G.

BTS never decided to break into the USA market it was a complete surprise to them that it happened. They didn't learn English so they could break into the US market either.

It’s not about learning languages , others groups knew English ( some of them have members from the US actually ) and they actually did tried before BTS but failed. Bts got big organically cuz of their music , performances and lyrics, and then when someone already saw all of that you got their content that was funny and approachable , like like genuine , not like those SNL skit that are so force and you can tell there are a script. So all that made people outside their country like them and know them , but none much from their country Gp , like they can like some songs of them but don’t know who sing it , that was cuz of the Korean media influence by the other big companies trying to cover Bts success. But since the “noise” was too big outside, they have to report it but until this day they still reported in a bad manner to put them down and put up the other big companies groups. And in the US also is happening the same.

No they didn't, until this day except for RM who happens to learn English NOT for the sake of promoting BTS, but because he happens to learn that through watching an American show when he was young, none of the BTS members bothered to learn English. In fact BTS are one of the rarest Kpop group in Kpop, why? Cause they're pure blooded Koreans. You guys probably don't understand how odd and unnatural that is. The Kpop Industry already has a successful formula where in order for Kpop groups to attract more foreign fans, the Kpop groups are designed to have foreign Kpop idols, for example Chinese or Japanese, to appeal to those countries. If not, other Korean idols should have mix blood or have lived overseas to have language English as an advantage. The greatest example of this marketing tactic is Blackpink, Lisa is a foreigner from Thailand, while Jennie and Rose are Koreans who are either born in Australia, or has lived in America, which is why 3/4 of Blackpink members are fluent in English. You can see this formula for other groups as well, like Stray kids, Exo, 17, New Jeans, etc. The reason why all BTS members are ironically pure blooded Koreans and has never lived overseas is because they never intend to go international to begin with. They just happen to be popular overseas because they've been suppressed and ignored in their home country. Also, stop about those they do English stuff that's why they're so popular. Cause first of all, BTS are certainly not the first Kpop acts to release English songs or collaborated with Western artist. Other kpop acts like Super M literally debuted in the US and even partnered with a US label and release their songs in English, yet they're not popular unlike BTS. Besides BTS as a group to this day doesn't have an English album. While Blackpink has, and have 30% full English songs in their entire discography. BTS only has 3 English full songs in their 10 years career which is basically 0% in their entire discography compared to their non-english songs which are 350+. To contribute their success and popularity to those English songs is just strange considering BTS first English song is during pandemic, and BTS is already the biggest band in World year 2018. Also, them collaborating with western artist that's why they're popular is also untrue, why? Cause other groups in Kpop certainly had done long before BTS did, the reason why you've never heard of them is because they're unsuccessful. Also BTS aren't the one being "carried" by their western collab, it's the other way around.

Thank you for your reaction, I enjoyed it very much. It seems odd to me that BTS is considered one of the 4 SK Elites (quite rightly) but whereas Paik Seung-ho, Faker and his 6 teammates all received military exemption in 2023, BTS didn’t. Bong Joon-ho did his military service 32 years ago before he became a recognised filmmaker. The only difference between the other two elitist representatives and BTS is that SK Military Admin has to ACKNOWLEDGE the global prestige to be exempted. SK Govt and Military acknowledged the others but don’t acknowledge BTS although they use it all the time to their advantage. It appears that BTS is still treated unfairly in SK.

@@DANDJREACT if you plan to explore Philippines just be careful of some opportunistic people, not all are good. you can ask here in youtube community of some things you are not sure of, like for example fees like transpo or food.. some people tend to overprice because you’re a foreigner. You also have to know the transportation that are way cheaper than uber/grab, food and places that are cheaper. Honestly as a Filipino, I don’t recommend Philippines a place to settle for good if you’re planning to. You’ll understand if you stay here long enough. I would say Singapore if still the best foreign-friendly country to settle in. I worked there before.

We don’t really like American rappers because there’s so much vulgarity, profanity and they constantly degrade women. BTS does rap but not like that. They actually have lyrics with deep thought provoking lyrics.

​@@DANDJREACT It may be true that a lot of HipHop music esp American ones as you say "vulgarity, profanity and they constantly degrade women" but I don't judge the entire genre or the American ones entirely and be hostile to it (I'm not stating that you do, just sharing abt me), I just simply don't listen to it coz I prefer others. Also, the GOATS of hiphop, the history of hiphop that I learned while following BTS was something great and respectable. It's true to a degree that HipHop music is quite dark, as BTS say in their song HipHop Phile (2014), "Hiphop, it makes my heart beat, it lets me be my true self, has the scents of humans, hiphop that i write down with my life." HipHop can let the artist share the rawest, unfiltered thoughts they have but also it's the art of of using rhythm and poetry creatively pleasing to the ears to tell their story, personal or not. A song can be vulgar, and all and I but I would still give props to the talent if their delivery & rhymes are good but only that. Also, if the theme of their story in their music is dark it can be also because it's their truth, their life, it's not my place to say stop rapping abt those things. I'm very grateful of BTS coz they help me broaden my views a lot incl. my approach in listening to hiphop, they made me more open minded abt things. Let me also give you an idea of how hip-hop has evolved here in the Philippines, it has become somewhat like a sport now what they call "Battle Rap", it can be w/ or w/o beat playing, doing a debate abt a certain subject, can be political, socio-economical, personal to the contenders, thru a bloody poetry battle, they may use cursing and offensively verbally attack their opponent too if they want.. the players participate fully knowing that... the rules are simple, prove your point with creative witty profound statements/remarks w/ rhymes and on beat (if there's music).. Battle rap is like a contemporary version of what we call "Balagtasan" (poetic debate) as Filipinos but w/ music/beat to follow.

SK , cuz the acting most of the time tend to be good , specially in the mistery/ action dramas, Telemundo it’s just Mexican soup operas ,and the acting is pretty bad and the story most of the time don’t make sense in terms that you will probably do something different but the character chose the most dumb option and since is soup opera the budget it’s pretty low so the camera work , the coloring and editing it’s pretty mediocre. Although they can be some good one in terms of entertainment( a lot of memes came from it) people don’t take them that seriously. They could be good soup operas not just from Mexico but from other parts of Latin America, that get sold to even make more ver from it. The ones from Brazil tend to be the best ones. Cuz you can tell they have budget and the acting is way better. Also cuz of that the Turkish soup opera got popular too, cuz the plot are different and the characters are more interesting( better acting ) and the budget is there. Korean dramas are pretty diverse but the ones you see in stream platforms tend to be just like any series with a way better plot and characters than in the US , specially now that US force too much sx and just the girl boss agenda. ,in the Korean ones you can have an actual well written female character and a realistic ending. I recommend you the Korean drama mask girl is on neflix ( it has like 7 episodes).
