The "third voice" in the end was a high belt. On album it has two layers, one clean, one growl, stacked on top of each other. On live setting she then picks one of the styles in the layers to sing, depending on how she feels like and how much vocal health she still has left. Continously touring can be grueling so you need to conserve your voice to not lose it.

🔥Welcome to the Jinjer family, Dane! I just found your channel, saw your Jinjer reaction (always love seeing people speechless for this songI) and subbed, great reaction! Thank you for bringing the fantastic genre twisting music of Jinjer to more people! I love their energy, how tight they are, how down to earth they are, the heaviness mixed with complexity and groove, beautiful singing and growling and especially Tatiana's lyrics! The first time I heard Pisces in 2019, I hadn't liked any metal with growling and it took me a few listens to start liking it, but now Tatiana is my favorite vocalist and Jinjer my favorite band (Pisces has been my wake up alarm for a few years and I still love it more every time I hear it, snooze is a thing of the past). TLDR: skip to the last paragraph 😂 Sorry for the long comment, I just love Jinjer too much and love seeing people discover (and usually fall in love with) them and each of their songs! My three favorite comments about Jinjer that I've seen, "terrifying levels of talent", "I hate it when a Jinjer song ends", and "that was more unexpected than my first child" 🤣 All four current members of Jinjer have essentially no formal musical training except Vlad the drummer who studied classical piano. For most of their songs, the three guys write most of the instrument music, then Tatiana writes most of the lyrics and melodies (she gets tons of well deserved credit for her vocal and stage performance abilities, but maybe not quite enough for her lyrical and musical composition abilities). Roman the guitarist has written a lot of the instrument music in the past, so he's a huge part of the beautiful sound of Jinjer, but Vlad the drummer (who also plays guitar and classical piano, but so far not in most Jinjer songs - I think he played piano in lainnereP) has been writing more of it and wrote nine of the eleven songs for the latest album Wallflowers. Eugene composes some - he wrote the instrument music for one song on Wallflowers and a few songs on other albums, and I know that apart from his amazing work on the bass, he adds riffs and has written lyrics for a few Jinjer songs. Jinjer has been a tour-heavy band, touring almost nonstop from 2013 to 2020 and much of the time since then (with interruptions by covid and the US backed coup/proxy war), hard work that has made them fantastic live performers. The band (all members have been Ukrainian, with Russian their first language) started in eastern Ukraine (Donetsk) in 2008 as a group of three (then five) with none of the current members (they consider the official start of the band when Tatiana replaced the male vocalist and Roman joined as lead guitar 2009/2010), Vlad is the fifth drummer (joined in 2016) and it's been a group of four since 2015 (though they consider their road sound engineer Sasha to be a fifth member). I think they're still friends with all the former members and you can see their former guitarist turned actor, Dmitry Oksen, in older videos on guitar and a more recent video (Disclosure) playing an interrogator. One of the things I love most about Jinjer is the messages in Tatiana's lyrics and the way she combines growling and beautiful singing with Jinjer's fantastic instrumentals to be so powerful for expressing the anger and pain in those messages: the anti-war message in Home Back, the anti-greed in On The Top, Mediator and No Hoard Of Value (also the horror of the coal mining industry in their home Ukraine), the protest song Who Is Gonna Be The One, the anti-fascism of Sit Stay Roll Over, the anger at people being narrow minded in Teacher Teacher and Judgment & Punishment, the struggles with mental health in Pit Of Consciousness, Vortex, Wallflower and Perennial, the giving voice to mother nature angry at humanity for letting capitalism destroy her in a bunch of songs like Ape, The Prophecy, Cloud Factory, Noah, Outlander and Bad Water. Other favorites are I Speak Astronomy, Retrospection, Words of Wisdom, Just Another, Captain Clock, Scissors, Exposed As A Liar, I Want It I'll Get It, A Plus Or A Minus, Dip A Sail, When Two Empires Collide, lainnereP, Prologue and Beggar's Dance (those last two are short album bookends that could do well together in one reaction if you're so inclined). I haven't found a Jinjer song I don't love, so I think you can't go wrong if you choose any of them, but a few good choices might be Perennial (official and/or live at Wacken 2019, both are must-see), Teacher Teacher (official), Judgement & Punishment (official and/or Tatiana's one take performance, again both must-see), Pit of Consciousness (official and/or live in Kiev/Kyiv, a third where both are absolutely must-see) or the heartwrenching plea against war in Home Back (official video). Thank you, Dane! I hope you'll keep trying out more Jinjer songs and enjoy! ❤🖤🤘

I discovered Jinjer in winter 2018. Never really done the fanboy thing though but I went all in for Jinjer. I've seen them twice and gotta say if you have a chance to see them go for it. She doesn't do the switch to belting in Pisces live but screams it instead, she says she's afraid of messing it up. Lots of other songs with belting though, my favorite being On The Top live in Kiev (now usually called Kyiv). Perennial live at Wacken is another common followup, or Who Is Gonna Be The One official live for a lot more growling but amazing instrumental composition. Subbed. Cheers!

Vlad, the drummer, is a classical pianist that took up drums as a hobby, how talented is that guy? I'm looking forward to going on this journey with you, they are one of my favorite bands. Also check out Teacher Teacher official video, Judgement and Punishment one take vocal, that's ridiculous! Also, Vortex official video, Who going to be the one live. I have been a Jinjer fan for 6 years now, I have never had any one band keep my interest for that long before. Jinjer does their own thing playing in and outside the box. Jinjer uses jazz as a foundation for many of their songs. Here are some other bands. Where the female lead also does the growling. Ignea, Infected Rain, Butcher Babies, Archenemy, Spirit Box. All these bands fit very well with a Jinjer playlist.

Tatiana has been described as "a giant among metal vocalists". I still get goosebumps listening to her vocals after over 5 years. If you're interested in a topical song, "Home Back" OMV is about their home area of Ukraine which was annexed by Russia many years ago, well before the war kicked into high gear. Great reaction - subbed. Like many Ukrainians from the eastern part of the country, their native tongue is Russian. (I believe that their current drummer, Vlad, is the only member not from the east, as he hails from the Kiev region.) The 3 of them were displaced from their homes when Russian & Russian-backed militias started a war in eastern Ukraine in 2014. The usual second Jinjer reaction is Perennial Live at Wacken 2019, an awesome live performance. I'm a huge fan of double features, so if you want a second version of that song to react to, then the official music video is a good, under-appreciated video to pair with the live performance.

The first video (live session) wasn't theirs beginning. It was the middle. If you wanna see them from the beginning with Tatiana check out Scissors OMV or/and Exposed As A Liar OMV. The "baby Jinjer" era was very cool. And you need to know that Jinjer definitely doesn't do symphonic metal, hell no. It's almost opposite musically. Their music is groovy and progressive, mostly very heavy, blended with different genres like raggae and jazz. Some people call it Metal Jazz and it kinda makes sense.

I discovered Jinjer in 2020 by accident, and it wasn't Pisces (which is how most people discover Jinjer) it was for their song Perennial the live version in Wacken 2019, an absolutely awesome performance and song. Since then, I've become a huge Jinjer fan, they are in my personal top 10 favorite metal bands of all time and I've been listening to metal for over 40 years. I've never been into harsh vocals/growls, but Tatiana is something special, her regular singing voice is so melodic and beautiful, and her harsh vocals are so brutal. Tati gets most of the attention but make no mistake, the guys Eugene (bass), Roman ( guitar) and Vlad (drums) are equally as talented and are phenomenal musicians in their own right, they just compliment each other perfectly. I can honestly say that Jinjer does not have a bad song, each song is unique and different, no two songs sound the same, some are more melodic, others are brutally heavy. I've seen Jinjer 3 times (I was at this Los Angeles concert) and have met them twice, I can honestly say that they are some of the nicest, most humble human beings who clearly love their fans. This may come as a surprise but Tati is such a shy and soft spoken person off the stage, but on stage, she's a badass!! Hopefully you'll react to more Jinjer, you will not be disappointed. Keep up the great reactions, and as always, stay metal. 🤘🤘🤘🎶🎶

This is where we go down the well-known Jinjer rabbit hole path with this song like millions of others... I discovered it for the first time in 2012 live Jinjer in Bulgaria on a small stage! And nothing against other bands from the heavy metal genre and especially with a female front woman & singer, but it's about the range, versatility of techniques, voice, extremely deep, clean grunting for a woman like no other can, being able to sing other genres vocally like RnB, hip hop rapping, pop, blues, reggae combined with their own Jinjer Metal styles from earlier metalcore, trash metal, nu metal and other types of metal - hard rock, all mixed! And the strawberry on top is the absolutely unique unicorn 🦄 and powerhouse bad 🍑 girl Tatjana who simply leaves everyone speechless live! The entire band, Roman, Eugene and Vlad are absolute masters of their instruments and have mastered the craft of music, instrument etc. perfectly without like other bands Unfortunately.... Spirit..... Computer generated sound and effects, support of software the bass, The guitar and drums only play a little bit on stage, the rest is all played back from the computer studio data, that's a joke at a live concert! Not with Jinjer, they play everything live, sometimes even better than in the studio... Here are some links of all the songs in order in various versions!!! As an example, Hello Death as a single from April 2022, or with O.P.C ! The order compiled here is not 100% arranged like the album playlist, because sometimes there are no music videos, or they are not good enough quality for me to list here! I started adding to the list, step by step a few years ago with the available songs, qualities and release dates. I'll probably add to the list next year, i.e. more likely at the end / autumn of 2024 when Jinjer starts in the studio with the planned new album! Greetings from 🇨🇭😉🤘🏼

in the studio album the last portion is sang both in clean voice and harsh vocals (overlapped). I suppose in a Live setting it is "easier" for her to just sing in harsh vocals the whole thing (even though I LOVE the contrast between clean and harsh, including the belting that highlights Tati's vocal abilities)....
@DaneBramageROCKS7 ай бұрын
Ah, that makes sense. Guess it depends on how she is feeling but either way, Here for it all!

They consider 2010 as the start, when Tati and Roman joined, as there are no original members left. The last founding member, rhythm guitarist Dmitriy Oksen, left in 2015, yes they used to be a 5 piece. The bass guitar you liked in the live version, is made by Overload, an Italian company. The live session was a redo of an older song, done to showcase Vlad, as he had joined not long before that. But it went viral because of Tati. She is mostly self taught, her main harsh influences are Otep and Randy Blythe (Lamb of God), for cleans she is a fan of Gwen Stefani. Yes, from Ukraine, but Tati lives in L.A. now, with her husband, drummer Alex Lopez (current touring member of P.O.D.). Check out the music video for "Haome Back", about the fighting in Ukraine in 2014. And you can hear how low she can get. FTF Glitch on the outro music, Nice!! 👍👍🤘🤘

Fun fact about jinjer, none of the original founding members are part of the band anymore. All of the current members joined the band later through the band's lifespan

Ignea is another Ukrainian metal band. They are progressive metal (they even have a keyboardist) and they are produced by the same guy who produces for Jinjer, Max Morton. Ukraine has/had a lot of metal bands who were on the verge of breaking through before the war started. 1914 was a Ukrainian black metal band whose songs were about WW1.

Ah dude this is an excellent reaction. Instant sub, but now I see it's been three months and you haven't done any more Jinjer! What up with that bro! I can see it was love at first listen. Are you denying yourself gratification? 😂 Seriously though, Jinjer hit me just like they hit you here--like a ton of bricks. I wanted to know all about them right away. You did pretty good on the name pronunciations lol. I went right online to see if they were touring and coming anywhere near me. And guess what--they were playing near me two weeks later! I hooked me up a ticket, general admission, got right up front, and honestly it changed my life. It's hard to fathom how one band can have seemingly everything I want, and even scratch some itches I didn't know I had. I had heard girls scream before. But not like that. Since then I've heard lots of other female extreme vocalists, and I love many of them. It's opened up a whole new world of amazing bands for me. I now have a (long) list of female fronted metal bands that I follow. But none are as awesome as Jinjer. Yeah Tatiana's unicorn voice hooks you in like a fish. You did it just right with the double Pisces reaction. You didn't even check out the lyrics, which are dope. But the elephant in the room is the whole band is the tightest, most talented, cohesive juggernaut in all metal. And they're even better live than on the album. (With perhaps the one caveat of Pisces itself, which seems to be difficult to pull off perfectly live). Their standard of performance live is ridiculously high. You'll hear the same story a lot with Jinjer: I'm a pro musician in my 60s who's been listening to heavy music (and music of all kinds) for more decades than I like to count. Jinjer is a special band, the kind that doesn't come along often. I was kinda bummed I hadn't discovered them years earlier. They quickly became my favorite band, and for me they're the most compelling band since Rush retired. I saw Rush 36 times in concert. I'm on 3 with Jinjer, in less than 2 years since I discovered them. I've got tickets to #4 on 10/1 in Charlotte! The only valid excuse for not reacting to more Jinjer is if you couldn't restrain yourself from listening to it outside your reaction channel. The Jinjer Army is a great community. We're here for it. It's an awesome time to beat Jinjer fan or reactor. New song/video just dropped days ago--and it's fire! New album coming soon. The band is on tour right now (guess what--they'll be in America in a few weeks!) and they've been dropping awesome live content over there past few weeks and months. Audiotree's 'From Nothing' video is a must see, must react from just weeks ago. They dropped their first official live CD/DVD/Blu-ray album in May. Pro tip: get you a ticket to see Jinjer live on this upcoming tour. It may be the best entertainment dollar you spend this year. Or this decade, if it lights the fire!

Hey Brother, you have no idea! Tatiana is absolutely amazing. She's the Queen of scream and growl. Just wait till you get to Is Perennial, Teacher-Teacher, and especially Vortex! And many more! Let's open the field. I see your a Sabaton fan. Leads me to think Nightwish and Epica. All 3 are connected to say the least. I'm a Rythem Guitarist. Palm muting E and D, yeah- I over use😂. I have a channel here on YT, but don't cover music. Still on the fence about going Paranormal Research. I may fall back to music- who knows. Either way, you have a new Sub.. I'm across the board. My favorite being Symphonic Metal. What turned me Metal in the early 90s were, Anthrax, Pantera, Dream Theater and later going to Sepultra. (Can't remember the correct spelling =Sep...) There's a vast universe awaiting and I look forward to talking to you. 😎👍🍻

Hey bro what up! I hope your channel is going well. Jinjer to me is the current state of the art in metal. Roman has got to be the sickest rhythm guitarist ever. Dude's right hand is freaking bionic! I just saw Sabaton opening for Judas Priest, and they were righteous. Swedish Pagans! SKÄL!

Jinjer are unique, a nice rabbit hole for you to fall in. There are many great choices. My particular favourite is Vortex, I feel it's the spiritual sequel to Pisces... But more intense. Homeback, Judgement & Punishment, Wallflower, I Speak Astronomy, Teacher Teacher, The Prophecy, Pearls & Swine (not a common request)... Either way, keep them spinning, so much more of Jinjer to discover.

@@DaneBramageROCKS i also second the suggestions for 'playthrough' videos from Eugene (Bass) or Vlad (current Drums player) - both amazing players and nice to see the intricacies, especially for later tracks. Judgement & Punishment has a live one take of Tati, so you can see how effortlessly she sings those false chord growls. I really enjoyed your 'double feature' for this video, might be a good option if you do decide to watch a play through. Anyway, enjoy 🤘

Good reaction, Ukraine appears to have a number of great bands, many forced out because of the war. Another Ukrainian band, an band that Cheezyxyz has already reacted to 4 of their songs are called the Sixsters, mainly from the Kiev area, a group of 5 female talented musicians with an average age of 17 currently living in Essen, Germany as refugees. Be great if you could add these to the new talent you react to. Their sound is Rock but very diverse within it.

I know a lot of people won't agree and there are ofc many awesome Jinjer songs, I mean I love the band, but in my book, Pisces was and still is their best song. There's always a feeling when I watch this that no other song manages to achieve. For this particular live take (LA), it doesn't do her justice, she (they) tend to sound a lot better. I didn't like it that much. 'Perennial' LIVE at Wacken is one that further showcases her capabilities, she really shines there. Or the 'Live in Kyiv' performances such as 'On the top' and 'Pit of consciousness.
@Double_J_486297 ай бұрын
having seen them a couple of times live, and many live videos, this does seem to be the one song that gives her troubles live -- can't figure it out .... maybe it's the particular key???🤷♂ (and i'm not even talking about replacing that end belt with a scream -- she's long since explicitly accounted for that particular choice -- just talking about finding her tone in general) but still good. as for the rest of the production .... yeah, the mix did seem a slightly off. (tbf, i don't think they'll EVER be able to replicate the sound they had on Hellfest From Home 😉😂)
