Ah man, this video makes us miss home so much! We're from Aus and so much of the scenery is the same! We've wanted to spend a few months exploring the north and south island of NZ for so long and are really hoping we get to do it soon. Thanks for another beautiful video, keen for the next ones.
@DaneAndStacey5 жыл бұрын
Definitely a lot of similarities between the two! NZ is probably the easier to travel road trip style though, people underestimate the insane size of Aus huh?

Wife n I have lived in Oz last 17 yrs and last month did this very trip. A 1st timer 4 me. After 1 week my mind was made up, I want to move home. Did'nt realise how stunning our country is/was.

Would take me 4 days in a car to get to the top of my backyard. Trips like these are good to remind us to discover home and appreicate what we have before going overseas even though there's so many awesome things to see. Hope you guys don't miss a road trip to Christchurch.

I can totally see how New Zealand bears a strong resemblance to parts of the UK, which is pretty amazing given that the two countries are about as far apart distance wise, as it is possible to be on this planet! Those pies looked absolutely EPIC - pies are something else that Brits and Kiwis have in common :) I'm really enjoying these NZ videos.

The first mistake I made last year when I explored NZ: I didn't take enough time to see the northern and southernmost tips of the country. I found out about the fish and chips place the first night after I arrived in Auckland through the other youtubers, but I had no time. Reason to come back soon! And i was close, too!

Probably a bit of both, Carol. We probably didn't do a decent job of showing the little towns, partly because they're so chill and almost nothing happening haha. Thinking about it now we should have mentioned and shown that more.

Japan trip! Finally! It's one of those places you just want to explore on your own and discover what's there BUT if you go to Kyoto to visit Fushimi Inari Shrine (famous thousand tori gate mountain) and there's a queue at the entrance, do not wait in line. It's free to enter, the queue is purely due to people stopping at the entrance to take a photo, then the next group waiting for the previous one to walk out of shot before taking theirs. There is NO queue or ticket booth or anything to enter, just walk right past everyone and enter, there's 1000 of the gates on the mountain, you'll find dozens of photo shots and it'll save you like an hour in a queue for no reason.
