You two have seen more of New Zealand than most New Zealanders have. Well done you two for not just staying in the North Island or in the tourist spots. Good luck in your future travels.

Hi guys. I found your channel by accident a few weeks ago. Since then I have been binge watching your NZ adventures. I live in Geraldine S. Island where you visited Barkers. If I had known of your channel before then I would have loved to have met you and bought you a coffee. I hope you have enjoyed your time in New Zealand. I am Irish from the wee North, I came here in 1973 when I was very young, so it's my home now. I look forward to following your future adventures. Take care guys. Ian

Great video. Funny fact 90 mile beach is actually only 45 miles long. It was originally because of when it was originally mapped with horses they estimated they could so many miles in an hour but didn't take into the softness of the sand for the horses. It also classed as a legal road hence why you can drive on it. Although personally I'm not of people driving on Beach's or though rivers. Also again Glen it's kiwifruit not kiwi
@modfus7 ай бұрын
LOL, you guys will be sick of Kiwifruit😉😁 Your pronunciation of Te Reo Maori is fine Glen - many New Zealanders struggle with correct pronunciation too. The vowels are actually very similar to Italian. We know you loved driving on the beach Mado😄 - I guess you would prefer to have been in a fine German 4x4 😛

(a) Ahhh (e) e as in egg (i) eeeee (o) as in in oar without the r ending (u) ewww These are the basic vowel sounds in maori,, m(Ahhhh)(oar) r (eeeee) The "r" is rolled. Then there are some combined vowels sounds like "au" which is "owe" or "Oh", "ei" is "ay", well at least close to that as it depends on dialect but you definitely shouldn't say the "ay" sound when you see the "a" letter in a word that is in maori, same as you shouldn't say "oh" when you see the letter "o" Pronouncing maori isn't difficult compared to "english" that has bear and bare which are different spellings for the same sound
