Komaru Naegi, little sister to Makoto Naegi, has been imprisoned inside a mysterious apartment for over a year. One day, she is rescued by Byakuya Togami of Future Foundation, but the rescue is derailed by a sudden attack of hundreds of Monokumas. Komaru soon discovers that the city has been taken over by a group of children calling themselves the Warriors of Hope. Their leader, Monaca, declares that the city will be the site of a Children's Paradise, and to accomplish this, all the adults will be exterminated. Komaru teams up with Toko Fukawa to try to survive the rampaging Monokumas, escape the crafty Monokuma Kids, and uncover the secrets of the city.

@The Starlight Child He did knew. Towa City's hunting game was made to attract and gather all the Ultimate Despairs in the same city. That is what is implied to happen as a result of Monaka's hunting game which was part of the objective of Junko's succesor plan). Izuru took the AI from Shirokuma and Kurokuma (That is Junko) and told them his plan regarding the Neo World Program (which is why Nagito knows what is going to happen). They then let themselves be caught by Naegi (who realized who they were but pretended not to know their identities, gave a fake report about it finding survivors to Future Foundation and took them to Jabberwok Island were the events fo Super Danganronpa 2 will take place.

OHHHHH, I think I just now get it because of this comment. I never really understood what this part in the game meant until now because I was expecting it to forshadow something for V3 but no. So Hajime didn't actually destroy the two AI chips but just take them out and use them for Danganronpa 2's Monokuma. The timeline is kinda confusing. Do I get it now or is that still not it?

+RiceBall_N'_Ramen In DR1, Junko didn't want them to leave so she showed them what was outside but they leftl the school even if it was bad out there and in DR2, they didn't stay in the program nor did they leave. They shut it down instead. They could have been deleted but they still shut down the game and ended Junko. We don't know if everyone's memories in the game got deleted so anything could happen. In this game, Monaca's plan was ruined but the adults and the children were still fighting so Komaru and Toko stayed to make sure the war was stopped. We don't know if they can stop it but they are gonna to try. I think that all of these endings are bittersweet. Also I think that trailer was only an announcement of the development of DR3.

I'm typing this as I think but yeah it's would be odd if the main will have another secret identity like idk Monaka? She somehow involve in the 3rd game.
