İm a 14 year old who is just getting into spearfishing. Here in malta one of our most dangerous animals is the Moray eel. Every 50 or so metres you would see one creeping out of a rock. Now, i startred with a small simple pole spear, and i did not shoot, as i didnt know if it would penetrate. Then i went with my speargun but i got terrified as i was alone. But this summer when i see one i would shoot. As i tasted them and they are delecious. And also, i went motorbike spotting, and i was trying to find one as we were next to the sea, and out of nowhere one comes straight out of a rock. And last time they found a spot with 3 small sharks and 20 or so maray eels, all dead . probably thrown off a boat by fishermen. Edit:you could see a moray eel maybe even every 30 metres. But do you have any tips for spearfishing?
