Had the same issue a couple years ago when I took one too many viagras.

Mine started losing lifting power just after the warranty failed and it hadn’t been used much at all before that. They refused a return so I tried to fix it myself and was going to strip it all down and rebuild It but the booklet photos of the parts breakdown was so blurred it was impossible to read. I contacted the company and advised them of this and they apparently didn’t realise it was so bad so they said they would revise it and send me the new booklet……I’m still waiting 2 years later. Shit company provides cheap shit product with no integrity. Since then, if the opportunity rises I’ve always dissed the product.

That's a shame. If it was any other company I'd be shocked by this, but as it is about SGS, I'm unfortunately not at all surprised.

Probably tightened the bolt on the handle too tight so it won't turn,,,

Maybe, but these where both brand new out of the box, and both jacks had the same problem. The moral of the story is don't by anything from SGS 🤣

What you need to do is to lower the bar a bit, and then it will lower

Smearing sgs reputation. What are the stands doing there? The jack needs some heavy weight to decompress. These stands prevent that.

SGS are smearing their own reputation pal (by selling shit products). They accepted these jacks as bsck 'faulty' and refunded them both after seeing this video (hence the purpose it was posted initially). Its been left up so other people don't waste their money on shit products and even worse customer service. For your information, the Audi S4 B6 Avant is the best part of 2 tonnes, these jacks are rated up to 3 tonnes so I think the 'heavy weight' side of your point is covered there. Next up, the stands do not prevent anything - the reason they are there is that I am trying to lower the car onto them, but the SGS jacks wouldn't lower. When they eventually did budge, they just dropped the car to the deck in an uncontrolled movement because the jacks are shit. Think that should clear things up.

@@F32Lad Not when I sent both jacks back and it took weeks to get a refund. Then when they did, they only refunded half of my order because they misplaced one of the jacks, which was convenient as I sent them both back together. I had to chase them for weeks for the first refund, and then had to chase them for approximately x2 months to get the second one refunded. I had to threaten them with Charge-Backs through my bank and a personal visit to gee them up. Every time I spoke to them, no matter who I got through to on the phone (except one person) were really rude and abrupt. They all had a vile attitude, and insinuated that I was lying about sending the 2nd jack back, despite my photo evidence of the parcel being collected, and lying about the jacks being shit despite this video evidence. This is why these videos are staying up, so that people can avoid making the mistake of buying from them. So @F32Lad, as I said; terrible customer service, but don't let me stop you.
