Proper use of wedges is amazing. If you do it right you can see the tree move angle all the way to the top, each time you hit the wedge deeper in, you can steer a tree anywhere.

You can always tell the inept chainsaw “operators” and fellers by the way they angle their back cuts down to the hinge instead of making it flat. Also, I can actually hear how dull some of the chains on these saws are. Almost as dull as some of their owners.

I had a massive Catalpa tree removed from my front yard about 15' from my house. There was no way I would have considered taking that down by myself. I paid a professional $1600 and they used a 100' bucket truck and surgically removed it from the top down in three cuts. Buy once, cry once.

Imagine my thoughts as I casually watched someone down the road from me felling a tree and when the tree started its fall the dude operating the chainsaw quickly ran back and out of range, only his hand never left the throttle and he was running and skipping over branches and close to other people while absent-mindedly holding the throttle wide open!....I let out a heartfelt and authentic 'Sweet Jesus' and then continued down the road to see what was on the next channel....

Why do people park their trucks so close to these trees? When it falls the wrong way someone loses a truck. That's the first thing I would worry about, but these rocket scientists are just plain ignorant when it comes to common sense & logic.

2:22 dude you need to sharpen your chain and stop letting your chain saw idle down, full throttle kid
@deshrek93763 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same thing about him idling it down. Listened to it with headphones and it sounds more like the carb needs adjusting as well as a sharper chain. Like the chain is catching but the powerhead doesn't have enough top end to complete the cut. That and it looks like a newer chinese-made crapsman.

You know what they say, Don't touch gas if you don't know what your doing, Don't touch electrics if you don't know what your doing, & if you're not a qualified tree surgeon... Leave to them who Competent tree surgeons will have certificates (National Proficiency Tests Council (NPTC)) which show that they have been trained and assessed. They will often have other academic qualifications in arboriculture and will use safety equipment to protect you, your property and themselves.
