Dangerous Surprises & Worn out Parts. 1984 Dodge D150 Steering

I love D150's. I watch this whole build. I have a 1988 with a 318. I swapped the manual granny gear with a NV3500 5 speed with a high gear. Mine is lowered too. You can use a B series Van control arm for the front, and do an axle flip to get a 2" front, 6" rear drop. Handles way better, looks meaner with a better stancer. I have been saving up for the Holley Sniper 2. It's better because you can connect your phone with bleetooth. I am also saving up for a fiberglass R/T hood that fits D150's from US Body. Anyway, great job on your build!

On your steering box there should be a jamb nut and Allen nut that will allow you take up some of the slop in the steering box. Also consider replacing your rag joint or upgrading it with a borgeson rag joint elimator.

I'll look into the rag joint eliminator. Thanks for the info. Once I get the alignment I might try to tune up the box a little and see if it makes any change. Thanks for watching.

Great to see the new parts seem to have fixed the steering issue. Absolutely disgusting to see the sloppy, and truly dangerous and scary, bad work and complete lack of quality control that could have been potentially deadly for you and/or someone else. That's just freakin' wrong. Somebody involved needs to know for sure. Look forward to seeing more. Be safe and stay well.

Let's be honest, a CRV is really almost undefinable. Its like a car-truck-van-wagon-jeep-gocart? Cartruvagoneep? Mine's slightly newer than yours but I've literally used it for all sorts of stupid and not-so-stupid things. 😂

Yeah man. CR-V's are great. I've taken mine down some crazy Jeep trails full of camping gear and it's been awesome. I've had this car longer than any other vehicle I've ever owned. CR-V for life👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼
