I bought an inexpensive dehydrator a few months ago and have been drying green and red peppers along with canned jalapeños. Today, I am trying my hand at drying cubes of chicken breast. I got two big rotisserie chickens for $5 a piece. The rest of the chicken I used to make stock to freeze for winter soup. I don’t make enough to get out the canning gear. For about 4-5 months I have been buying all kinds of sausages on sale and freezing for winter soups. I have a freezer full of meat now. If I lose power I’ll hook up the freezer to my solar powered battery bank, it shouldn’t use too much power if the freezer is full. And I can always get out the canning stuff and can the meat. Tomorrow I want to pick my herbs and start to dry them too. Toni, thank you for your channel. Always interesting.🥰

@@HerHomesteadSkills We had some homeless before the financial collapse in 2008, but once they played the shell game many "professionals" ended up losing their homes. You'd be stunned at how many educated people are living on the streets. I live in Silicon Valley. We have large pockets of homeless that can survive winters on the street. They made it too easy for folks to live this way, which causes it s own mental illness. Only a Spiritual Awakening will fix this problem in my opinion.

Hi Toni, keep it up.Regarding protests, as a young college lad I partook in a no nukes rally. Why? Because a girl I liked was taking part, no other reason. The irony is a few years later, I was in the Air Force, in North Dakota, maintaining nuclear armed B-52 bombers.

Hi Toni! I loved your video. It’s very sad (and horrible) the events that are taking place here in the U.S. You are so right about God being in control! We all need to pray more than ever! He does want us all to turn back to him. This country was founded on God. When they started removing him out of schools and everything that was as good as saying “we don’t need you”. I live in a huge tourist Mecca. We had loads of tourists early summer, but lately I see few vehicles going up our mountain except locals. Makes me wonder if credit cards are being maxed out and cash is drying up? Also on our local Facebook, antique furniture galore is being for sale and all sorts of small boats being advertised for sale. American people are hurting and money for food is diminishing. Real estate sales are drying up and I’m seeing second home sales are beginning to climb. Those who have lived above their means are suffering the consequences. It’s a sad state.

The Russian and Chinese planes identified as balloons so it was ok 😉 Actually, they overfly our airspace a couple of times a year. We do the same to them. Are you old enough to remember the USA U-2 jet the Russians shot down? It's a test of defense systems. And probably gives some jet jockeys bragging rights. @@HerHomesteadSkills Planes have always fascinated me! Took my first ride in an open cockpit biplane when I was 6 or 7 - bff's dad owned one for crop dusting. We lived near the El Paso Air Force base during the Cuban missile crisis, and the sky was full of aircraft the entire time (so they could retaliate before potential bombs got them on the ground). I didn't comprehend the danger, just watched the sky in fascination. I've been to the Oshkosh Wisconsin fly-in twice and have flown in a P-51 Mustang trainer. If reincarnation is real, I'm pretty sure I was in the Air Force in WWII 🤔😂
