​​​@@brandenmarcum430it's confirmed that the reason he went to Tiamat's layer is because Godzilla was overcharging,same as he was in KOTM before mothra sacrificed herself. He needed the crystals to help maintain and stabilize the current energy inside his body or else he would've self destructed and Tiamat was in his way of his very survival at the time. So the crystals didn't really give him a buff,all his buffs came from the power plant. He just needed the crystals to maintain and control it so it didn't destroy him,which also as a result burned down all his fat and thanks to Tiamat he took some of their genetic makeup

Adam Wingard already confirmed that "Shimo is sort of anti Godzilla in this movie. She's bigger, she's stronger, she's got the powers to back it up. And normally, I think Godzilla would have a hard time combating Shimo, which is why he has to level up in this movie" In another commentary it was also confirmed that Godzilla had developed "a sixth sense about Shimo", if she makes an unusual move, his senses are triggered and that he needed all that absorbed energy "escpecially" for her. Corrections: Godzilla did know what was going on down there. The Iwi sent him a message about Skar and Shimo joining forces and breaching the subterranean realm. That’s what got him on the move in the first place. He didn’t know Kong and Mothra would return to help him fight, so he assumed he’d be fighting the two alphas alone, which is why he evolved to do so, and why fighting Skar and Shimo became easier than expected. The reason why he didn’t go down to the Hollow Earth was because he hasn’t been down there in a long time, and was out of practice in combating in such terrain, while Skar and Shimo have been down there a long time and are still used to fighting in such terrains. If Godzilla were to enter Skar’s territory, Skar would have a significant edge over Godzilla. So yeah, Godzilla evolved to fight Skar King and Shimo.

It could be for many reasons at the same time, that one included. Godzilla may have suspected Kong joined the Skar King. They’re both apes, and Godzilla is receiving the message not long after he left Kong to venture down the same territory he knows the Skar King lurks. This I think explains why he attacked Kong when he arrived in Egypt, not to mention he broke the deal first.

Also if Kong and Skar King DID join forces it would be hella risky since for a self-taught amateur ape Kong did a very well job at slamming Godzilla especially in recent years. Even evolved and with Mothra’s help he’s getting flattened by those 3.

I have an idea where humanity's attacking the Hollow Earth and their ultimate weapon is a fully robotic Mecha King Ghidorah, created by Ren Serizawa but his body is controlled by Ghidorah's mind after electrocution. MKG is equipped with Oxygen Destroyer weapons. This also leads to a better foundation for Destroyah appearing in a shorter amount of time.

First of all, I don’t disagree that the possibility of Godzilla evolving in GXK was for a bigger threat, but you have to also remember Kong was the wild factor in that scenario. I’m pretty sure Godzilla believed he was going to fight Scar King, and Shimo by himself. With that being said, I will say all your theories are pretty good and possible. I can see the governments of the world who are finally tired of all the mayhem the Titans, while unintentionally, cause will join together and possibly go to siege the Hollow Earth and this has already been mentioned in the current movie. We might get a Mechagodzilla 2.0 or possibly Jager like machines hell I could totally believe Jet Jaguar looking a little like the Gypsy Danger from Pacific Rim. And that’s when shit hits the fan because not only will you be dealing with Godzilla and possibly the other Titans under his rule you will also be dealing with Kong and his tribe and the scary thing is they might join forces. While all this is happening, something even worse is on the horizon which I believe might come in the form of a Destroyer.

I believe that Destroyah is coming... Also, here is my opinion but dumb theory: *What if Destroyah is not a new titan, but an ancient one, though...a dangerous one?* I know that they will follow the same formula for the oxygen destroyer, but what if that the place where they actually blow the OD at Ghidorah and Godzilla (scene from KOTM) accidentally opened a portal underneath their battle, not to the Hollow Earth, but their own MonsterVerse Netherworld, where a part of the energy from Ghidorah and Godzilla went to the portal, awakens Destroyah from his slumber, powering him up while waiting for the right moment to *destroy everything* out of its way... Also, I bet Destroyah will be the one responsible for wiping out Godzilla's species, ordering Skar King and he brought Shimo to him. I know this is a dumb theory, but I wanted them to *actually* make Destroyah correctly and bring justice to the Devil of all Monsters.

Honestly, with how relatively easy the fight with Skar and Shimo was, it makes sense he'd start evolving for a really powerful kaiju fight. Wouldn't be surprised if it's something like Bagan or something even more powerful was coming up for a fight that's deadly even by Godzilla's standards.

After watching New Empire I never once thought he was powering up for that fight. I've always believed he was doing it for something he senses coming and that has yet to arrive, Shimo while powerful, and Skar who was a pushover really could not be the world ending threat.

Of course he didn't power up for them. He didn't know they were what had the Iwi so worried. In fact he seemed disappointed when he found out it was merely that ape again. He was obviously aware of some great threat lurking down in the HE and knew he had to prepare for it. That threat was and should still be a mutated rogue Godzilla. Maybe not Spacegodzilla but something close to him.

Maybe Godzilla evolved could be of one reason, one reason that few people think why… Bagan might be coming to the MonsterVerse. Godzilla when he was defeated by Bagan had to evolve into Super Godzilla because Bagan was the most powerful monster he ever faced, even more powerful than either Ghidorah or Destoroyah! For Godzilla to evolve, it could mean prophecy foretell the rise of Bagan to threaten the entire planet both on the surface and to the Hollow Earth. This is just my theory, but it could be possible Bagan may be in the MonsterVerse.

I think both a Ghidorah relative or a random organism who can mutate to become a dangerous adversary (like the Griffon from the Tri-star script) are great ideas for more powerful foes. I don't think "bigger" is the way to go. Shimo already was kind of boring to watch because she could throw Godzilla across the city and didn't fear his atomic breath. Godzilla is at his best when he's the immovable object and facing something that counters his weaknesses to make a fair fight. Destroyah is a good option too, but it's going to be tough to bring him to life without it being cheesy in the Monsterverse world. The one thing I don't care about is ANOTHER movie of mankind fighting Godzilla.....and no more robots! If he's going to have a challenge, let it be something trying to take over or destroy the world so that he is the defacto savior of humanity without actually showing him caring about humanity. Just two world threats fighting over a territorial dispute.

The fact that all of the world war weapons and millitary that was used against Ghidorah failed we and needed Godzilla for help and Mothra at the same time and yet was still difficult. So if Godzilla reaches to that point of power to Ghidorah's lvl then humans would still struggle and titans has shown to work together many times and Kong is not even at his full peak and might gain lightning powers that would be useful against our electric tech and both Godzilla and Kong has an army including random titans that will sense this type of threat and would see whats goin on add more titans from the Hollow Earth. So while we do have weapon that would kill the titans we stilla have to worry about other threats that are more powerful than Godzilla and Shomu, possibly working together making less of a chance to fight them and loose most of our tech during the invasion, there still could be more of Ghidorah's species out there that could have been more bigger and powerful and we still make mistakes by having our own tech against us like MechaGodzilla. Honestly the humans might not win regardless of what we could do, even with prep we might no be ready.

Godzilla in my POV he is more tolerant towards the humans. But its no doubt one day he will gone rogue. The World Government should be the main villain and part of the monstervers as Godzilla shows the world over and over again that left the world government powerless. And so they decided to develop a deep project that even Monarch didn't see one coming where they raised/develop a monster or building another mech to take down Godzilla.

Thing is godzilla thought hed be fighting scar, shimo, and an army of kongs all by himself so of course hed have to power himself up hes just one guy.If we go the mech route instead of trying to tie monsterverse and pasific rim together just give us jet jaguar. then with destroyah id love for him the get a 2 part movie the first being a destroyah solo movie set up like a pure horror movie kinda in the vain of cloverfield, maybe something happens to godzilla a movie before so hes resting and when theres no one to defend the titens destroyah destroys all monsters. Then the second movie godzilla has to wake up early to try to save the day but fail however in his sacrifice his son powers up and saves the day while having mothra leo and suko being there as backup giving us the set up for the second generation of the kings.

Yes i agree he is powering up for something sinister and devastating. I like the idea of humans creating a Mech legion like Pacific Rim, but I do believe what's coming to fruition is "The Battle for Earth" where Humans will be pitted against the Xiliens or something similar. Beings from maybe Ghidorah's home world. They will create a couple of genetic abominations of their own to deal with Godzilla, Kong, and Mothra. While the Xiliens themselves will attempt to crush the human forces. This is where we learn more about the crystal that controlled Shimu. The only three monsters that don't get controlled are our trio due to the way they were created to defend Earth by all means necessary. Also, I believe we will see two more classic monsters from toho 1 being "SpaceGodzilla" and the other is "Gigan." With the crystal implanted on the mother ship they will call upon a third yes you heard it here 😆 Megalon. Two have an edge in this epic battle Godzilla with his companions need to keep the 3 monsters busy. While the human forces are taking a beating from the far more advanced Xiliens. The Xiliens unleash things creatures' legions of them. The creatures resemble a crustacean like menacing spider. A soldier lives to tell the leaders of the human race these spiders have a beam weapon that completely evaporated their bodies.
