The reason for Dave's Luigi hat being invisible is because his hat is green. When the computer detects something green on the Web cam, it turns it transparent. This is also the reason for Dave's green pannel from behind him.

The way that the POW glitch works is that if there is an SMB2 mushroom loaded at any time during a level, a POW shot out of a bullet bill will have no hitbox.

14:52 Most likely progressive power ups and a note block. When you go through as little Mario, a mushroom is spawned at the top of the room and moves over a note block to drop the link power up. If you go in powered up, a fire flower or super ball flower is spawned instead (which won’t move).

The “certain“ scenario with the POW-Block is, you smash it against the wall when it comes from a blaster and then it doesn’t work anymore, maybe that’s because when you throw the POW against a wall in any other style, the collision get‘s turned off, and because the blaster “throws it against the wall“ it has no collision anymore, but doesn’t explode like normally too (maybe I don‘t know, I don’t work at Nintendo)
