Sames, mine swims in my hand and gets excited when he sees me. So much personality, unfortunately he's a push over and gets bullied by my cichlids and pearl gourami, even my julie which is much smaller who I was afraid initially he would eat.

You should move the bumblebee catfish to a different tank with some tetras, or a different schooling fish. You'd probably see it a lot more because it would see the tetras moving around, and feel safe to come out.
