The people who met him in person said that he was even more beautiful face to face. Some were struck dumb, unable to even utter a word. French actress, Catherine Deneuve, met him in 1969. Deneuve, one of the most beautiful women in the world, said that she had never seen a human being, male or female, more beautiful than Elvis.

The man in black leather and this romantic song is a very tingly combination! The women who doesn't get a faster heartbeat here is dead! Dani, you choose one of my favorites, thanks for that and for making this TTVMT posssible, against all odds! 🌧🌀⚡ With the USS Randall Elvis came to Germany, to serve here for his country! We were and we are still proud that we had him here for a short time! Sending hugs! ♡♡♡♡ Alamea P.S. you are absolutly not alone with your overwhelming feelings about this man!

I don't think any other artist could have done any better with this song than what Elvis did with this song. and not just the way he sang it but how he put his whole heart, soul and spirit into this song. He made this song totally beautiful. I listen to the song on occasion it just relaxes the mind. And when I heard this song at the end of this is Elvis I just thought well Elvis will see you later buddy. RIP man.

They had such charisma and were blessed with such incredible talent and fame because the Almighty willed it to be.

Another classic written and composed by Mac Davis. That young lady you were talking about on the USS Randall in September of 1958 was shortly after Gladys Presley died. He specifically asked for Charlie Hodge to bunk with him in his cabin. In that room he could be himself, cry and laugh with Charlie.

I am so glad you did a reaction video to "Memories". I was hoping you would. I think his performance of "Memories" is one of the many great highlights of the 68' Comeback Special. I also think "Memories" is one of Elvis' very best ballads. Elvis has recorded so many great, heartfelt, love songs. When they conduct a poll among his fans regarding what is their favorite Elvis love song, the top 2 are usually "Can't Help Falling In Love" and "Love Me Tender". Elvis usually ended his concerts singing "Can't Help Falling In Love". I'd love to see you do a reaction video to that song next. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

First and foremost, I just love the genuine heartfelt reactions you give. They always keep me coming back and checking for your next Elvis reaction. Elvis wanted to be a great ballad singer when he walked in to Sun Studio and recorded "My Happiness" and tried out tunes such as "That's When Your Heartaches Begin", "Harbor Lights" and "I Love You Because". I mean, what else was there? It wasn't like he could walk in and say I want to be the next great Rock-N-Roll singer. There was no precedence. Then Sam Phillips heard him "messing around" during a break and "That's Alright Mama" became his first regional hit and the rest of course is history. We all know that story and the unparalleled, unobtainable historical moments that followed. Of course he is known as the King of Rock-N-Roll, but we all also know that he is in the Country Music Hall of Fame and had MANY #1 hits on the country chart, R&B chart, Adult Contemporary chart and his 3 Grammy's were for gospel music and he is also a member of the Gospel Music Hall of Fame. But when Elvis made the choices, when he decided after "If I Can Dream" that "I'll never sing another song I don't believe in", or when he was in his own private world... it was almost, always without fail, gospel music or ballads he turned to. Even in the early morning hours of August 16, 1977, Elvis is said to have sang the last two songs of his life at this piano “Unchained Melody” and “Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain.” The feeling he could convey from his soul are the closest we as fans can ever get to him. He sang those songs with such passion, showing off that incredible voice, with the ability to convey love, ache, yearning and sincerity that leaves little doubt that this is the music HE always loved and wanted to do. In these moments it's as if he is saying, hi, I'm Elvis Presley and I'd like to sing a song FOR YOU. That's the connection that no matter how great the Beatles were and are, no matter what the Stones or Michael Jackson, or Elton John or Mariah Carey or on and on....no matter how great a voice or an act or stardom they obtained, they can never connect on a one on one level the way Elvis did and still does. To me, it's one of the many things he has over all others. This song, in this most important moment of his career, epitomizes that. RIP Elvis. we all still miss you.
