@@brittreacts l was lucky enough to have parents that were huge Elvis fans. They took me to see him twice when l was in gradecschool. My mom, at the time worked for our Stare Bureau of Narcotics. Law enforcement. If you know anything about Elvis he was really into DEA etc. One of my moms coworkers, a undercover agent, Elvis would always request him and some of the other agents to be extra security at his hotel. Mo l never met him, nor did my mom but, lve met very few my age that have actually seen Elvis. Always felt lucky my parents took me though, they had zero idea the torment they were in for. 1st it was drum lessons then 3lectric guitar. The reason l picked up the guitar and still play at 54. Yes, lm old.

Yeah i know, sometimes it doesn't feel like he is even human. I mean look those early Ed Sullivan shows in 1956, even nervous as hell and no rehearsal, he knew exactly what to do to get the crowd going. It's like no wall's where to big for him to climb over. It's like THE LORD was thinking " now you had some rough times with depression and World War, let me create some joy for y'all " Then he made Elvis for us

I try to listen to that unique voice, but am distracted by his looks, the leather suit. He’s poring sweat but keeps on singing. Then it looked like he couldn’t contain himself having to sit on the chair. He almost leaped off. That’s the moment he gave us his soul. 😊😊❤❤🎸🎸🕺🏻🕺🏻🎤🎤🌹🌹

I was born in 1955 and I say that because my mother would swoon at the very mention of Elvis's name. If one of his songs came on the radio, we all knew to keep our mouths shut until he was finished. @@tonyajohnson7948 yeah, i know,, right? just as my father, and his generation, remembered where he was and what he was doing when JFK died....i remember that hot day in memphis, tennesee on 16 August 1977 when the King left and deprived the world of a lot of goodness. ya see i live on the other end of the state in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. i remember first the radio reports early that afternoon. the seeing it all on tv. the ambulance ride to baptist hospital in memphis. the long line of white limousines and cars behind that white hearse. the lying-in-state and another long funeral cortege to the graveside services. thousands of people of all stripes, colors, creeds, ethnicities, rich and poor lined the routes all along the streets where that long, slow line of cars went. thousands thronged the sidewalks and streets just to watch, hats in hand, policemen and military saluting as the white hearse drove slowly past. our whole nation and indeed the world mourned his passing. it was a sad time in 1977. i have not seen anything like it. even m.j. passing paled in comparison to us losing Elvis Presley. ya might think of doing another reaction to some of his stuff. hey, if ya wanna see something wild look at "Love Me Tender, in Vegas. never seen nothing like it. sorry to ramble. like your style. keep-a-rocking. I believe that Elvis's life is peaking right around this time (1968-1970). He's ending his movie contract obligations; getting back to live performances; and he's in the best physical shape of his life. All the Vegas performances you can find from 1970 are really strong. And he looks fly - slender and fit, in his white jump suits. Like a superhero.

I saw Elvis on many TV music shows and also in films way back in the 1960's and he was the top until the Beatles arrived in the US in 1964 and still Elvis was always super successful and popular until hie death.

welcome to the Elvis rabbit hole - you'll understand soon enough why he was (and still is) the goat. Try Suspicious Minds, Youve Lost That Loving Feeling, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Polk Salad Annie in vegas 1970, Never Been to Spain, Can't Stop Loving You, How Great Thou Art (Live 72), What Now My Love, You Gave Me a Mounain, An American Trilogy (Live Hawaii '73), Unchained Melody, Hurt (Live '77) just for starters lol

I love your reaction to Elvis. There has been so much hype lately because of the movie but his fans have been around for so long. First off he's singing live. There is no lip syncing. Second, this format started the whole unplugged performing that we all saw in the days of MTV Unplugged. He was labled the King of Rock and Roll but he always gave props to all the R&B artists that inspired him. The reason for the comeback was he was stuck in a contract to do movies and other artists like the Beatles started to overtake him on the charts. This was Elvis finally freed from his contract and back to his music where he belonged. Thank you again for posting your awesome videos.

Little Richard said: "God gives us a messiah every few thousand years, and Elvis was it this time." Bruce Springsteen said: "Elvis is my religion" and Bob Dylan went to Sun Records and kissed the ground where Elvis sang his first song. Elvis' impact is unreal...and it just keep going... ;)
