Chuck jumped right into the chapter. Some teachers give a 1/2 hour pre-teaching before getting into a chapter. Chuck was such a great teacher. Miss him.

He was great it’s too bad many have gone off in the wrong direction. When I moved a few times, I realized we had done exactly what he taught against. We were prideful that we were well taught. Comparison with “other” churches is sad. I went to a Methodist church that was the best church I’ve been to even though they did have membership but also asked for everyone to be involved. There were missions, mission trips, they got a plane and everyone filled it when Katrina happened, groups went to help with homes, in the city men from the church would help repair houses of the poor. One man said a little boy came over saying we need help with our roof. He went over and it was a mess. Unfortunately, there was a list but I’m sure it eventually was repaired, they had the gym filled with beds for those fleeing the Katrina disaster and made meals etc. The difference I felt more a part of the church, grew through a mission trip on and on. They also had a clothes closet, it wasn’t for money those in need could fill a reg shopping bag with clothes on certain days for free. Have you ever wondered about the high prices where you donate your items. They baptized not sprinkled too. There seems to be an elitist attitude that separates pastors from the rest of us. The rise of mega churches has made pastors celebrities causing many to fall. It will be interesting as we see more persecution how huge churches will react. We need to prepare for this as Chuck said with home studies. In Canada, even home studies have caused pastors to be arrested.
