My preliminary listen through some of this content, I don't think this album could be any better. It's so vibrant and lush sounding. There's the trademark brilliant Johns hooks, progressions and ofcourse vocals. There's also an insane fusion of different aural techniques and technologies. It's very well thought out, very creative and characterful in its aural presentation. It's great to see such a talented musician immersed in an abundance of sounds, but not hide behind them. We see that all too often. Instead here we see the different instruments, sound sculpting techniques, and production methods tastefully selected to facilitate Johns's talents.

I totally get the reference to Paint Pastel Princess, especially by the lines "I've been searching for the answer, taking all the pills. Treat it like candy, whatever it fills". Also, since the first time i listened to this song i got a feeling of being pushed back and forward or up and down, specially by the instrumentation. I immediately made a association with a pulley that at the chorus brings up something or that was stuck and with the "pills" keeps on moving. The way Daniel sings it also reinforces this by singing the chorus like he his pulling himself up. Daniel has a great gift of being able to deliver emotions/feelings by the "environment" he creates in the song, by the way he sings, the instrumentation and the lyrics. The overall feeling i get from the song is to keep on going, have hope, be persistent and don't give up, wich i find a very positive motivational message. Also, i think i never heard anything like this and i challenge people to try to fit it in some musical genre! 😂

1st listen with Earphones on😃 Its 132am and I feel enlivened enough to get up outta bed and throw out Sharp shapes, Pop and Lock and do a sock slippy skate across the floor! Victory ✌ stance, head bang, hair swirl followed by hair flip, bust out the big box small 📦 🐟 shapes, flip the double devil 🤘 horns and punch the air in exclamation! I received those sweet introductory beeps and blips that came through the earphones 🎧 💀 😳 😍 🦻👅Roger that! This song just consolidates the last 4 years of my life that I lost to an unforseen missdventure, sitting in a wheelchair watching other people's lives roll on for them whilst I endured so much daily pain that my mind got bended. I fought dor answers every day because I wouldn't accept this was it. I moved mountains to get to the bottom of what was causing it. Its a song thats nothing short of a HUGE Victory Lap Anthem! It just makes me wanna stand in the Sunshine listening to this music in a bikini by the sea and smell a taste of the good life again. Im coming back to life and this track is breathing air into my lungs and more love into my heart. I can also see me rollerskating at one of those Rolleramma places with huge glitter balls projecting light forms and me in multicoloured knee sox doing backflips whilst a confetti of Purple FN glitter rains down on me. I'm absolutely totally 100% independently high! High on life and this whole FutureNever album. I can't stop moving and my mind can't stop scenarioizing my come back dance 🥳💜💜💜💝💫💥💯💥💣💫👩‍🎤💃💃💃💜💜💜

More serious note, that ding of the bell that sounds like "next orders up in a burger joint Americano style 50's Diner" when Dan sings a line "holding onto something I know I'm gonna spill" its a line that reminds of times I knew I was going to repeat behaviour I hated in myself and screw up. Repeat it cause it was all I believed of myself at the time. I can't help thinking we need to make these mistakes, absolutely not change them, go through it as its a learning curve. At a time I was mixing pregabalin (Lyrica) prescription drug, with alcohol just to get out of physically debilitating pain sonI could move around, I was trying to turn up and turn out to attend things that were for others satisfaction and not my own...(ie people pleasing, being a good girl, a good friend etc) I continued like this until one night I ended up so out of it that I couldn't even tell the taxi driver where I lived. My Sister in law was waiting on results of lung cancer and we were literally in my street and I couldn't find my house. We were so overwhelmed by life and out of it that we ended up having some lady in the area walk me to the house and I slept outside that night on the porch as had no key. I really was abusing substances so that I could walk and attend things for others. Inadvertently making a mess of my life, my happiness, my home life. I changed that when I realised that those I was showing up for couldn't even send me a small message of support when I was due a few surgeries and well, I would have liked an expression from them that I felt I was always giving them, you know like for like!? Human and kind!? Nope... When you realise you're too good for the majority of people, pull yourself back and close ranks, you get a much better respect for yourself for setting such Good boundaries. There are so many of us that actually believed because we had been through such shitty things and trauma that we were not as good as other people, not destined for good things to happen to us...that we are damaged goods, yet because of our experience were actually much more compassionate and loving human beings. They don't deserve us, to just do the minimum with people like us who go the extra mile. Its not about being superior to them, its about protecting yourself from peole who lack the 'emotional quotient' that we have, that possess no where near the attained compassion and respect we show others. These people are just not meant for us and they have their tribe. Its ok to lose them out of your life, as to keep them on you are lowering your standards and ultimately dealing yourself hurts along the way which are repeatedly reenacted on us by them! Self protection is so important. I believe in you, I believe in me. Never give up the magical thinking, the belief that if you will things and visialise them in your universe that they will come to you. Never give up on the dreaming. Xx

I’ve got to be honest!! As a muso myself…. Imagine if John Lennon or the Beatles, or Hendrix or pearl jam etc etc just stopped playing what worked and what the world loved, what they were born to play and share with the world!! This is daniel now, don’t get me wrong these new age songs are ok there not bad but there not GREATNESS!!!! The silverchair stuff and development is greatness!!! Even if kept on that road as a solo artist would be great!! But I feel like u don’t wanna give people what they want because u feel like it’s giving up a piece of yourself to plz the masses with musical greatness!! And maybe I and others are selfish wanting it, but maybe just maybe we are right wanting it!!! It’s a special thing giving the world something great on an emotional level….. Imagine Lennon or Hendrix etc still living today and doing electro fusing stuff… that’s not the gift you or they were given to give to the world!!! Stop fighting who u are bro!!! I get the discovery and self loving journey but this ain’t it!!! I say this with love man!! I grew up with u supported u and all the development of your career!!!
