The ayah 5:33 says ‘Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and spread mischief in the land’ first things first you took it out of context and did not put the whole ayah which I will put now, another thing the punishments are all for different bad, horrid actions. Here is the ayah in whole: إِنَّمَا جَزَٰٓؤُا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ يُحَارِبُونَ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ وَيَسْعَوْنَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَسَادًا أَن يُقَتَّلُوٓا۟ أَوْ يُصَلَّبُوٓا۟ أَوْ تُقَطَّعَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَأَرْجُلُهُم مِّنْ خِلَـٰفٍ أَوْ يُنفَوْا۟ مِنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ لَهُمْ خِزْىٌۭ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ وَلَهُمْ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ ٣٣ And in English: Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and spread mischief in the land is death, crucifixion, cutting off their hands and feet on opposite sides, or exile from the land. About a month or two ago i was back in my home town Birmingham for the xmas market and as i was walking through the town i came across a make shift stall run by Muslims, it had a large banner which had the words Birmingham Mega Mosque on it in both English and what looked like Arabic and some other smaller words in both languages, there was a couple of Muslims handing out free Quran's whilst 3 Muslims where standing on a small platform with a megaphone preaching. There was a Muslim standing holding what looked like a large poster with a photo of Jesus and the words Devil worship, blasphemy, evil and a number of other reactionary words written in English and i presume Arabic as well. As i walked passed i had to stop and wait for my mom who had gone into a clothes shop to take a look. I stood there for about 5/10 minutes waiting for her in the cold as i was listening to them preach. The entire 5/10 minutes i didn't hear a single good thing about Islam, not a single positive note on there faith, the whole time it was some serious nasty preaching against Christianity, how it's no better than devil worship, it's blasphemous, how Jesus was a lie, how evil Christianity is, how it needs to be destroyed and a lot more hurtful and seriously nasty choice words said against the religion. and in that very moment i asked my self where is this so called religion of peace as all i can hear is hatred and nothing but hatred towards Christianity. I myself am not a fan of Christianity (or most organised religions) but that was blood boiling hatred spewed in the middle of the town.
