It makes me sad that Dan and the Band aren’t more popular

Heard Dan & Band first time, Zurich concert, El Lokal capacity crowd. Fantastic & moving concert, great musicians... They DO deserve a bigger audience!

I've just come across Daniels work and I'm deeply impressed. I'm an English/Ukranian musician/academic. My possibly relevant claim to fame is that me and my band once supported the Pogues. ( But it's all a bit of a blur). L'chaim Daniel Kahn!

I'm crying every time when I listen this song. OMG. Just like my soul is ripping apart. But it is great! God bless Daniel Kahn!

Amazingly powerful song and deeply depressing video. Great work. How strange it is not recognized.

What is the story behind this ?
@spurdo-benisbrigade32035 жыл бұрын
Its a commentary about capitalism. The story follows a coal miner and his family going through the trials and tribulation of their economic stance. No matter how hard they work, the system they reside under can never provide them with a living wage.

as a theist you catch a bit more feel than as an atheist for what this song seems to want to convey

według mnie o upadku znanego świata, zniszczonego przez człowieka w imię chciwości, kiedy już odkryje, że pieniędzmi się nie naje.
