The way she looked at the other drummer because of how on point his drumming is, only for him to look back the same way when she started hitting and maintaining those notes while STILL DRUMMING AND KEEPING TIME! Every person on stage was having a blast and it comes through and I had a blast watching it. A+++

Chris Whitley is Trixie's Dad. Daniel Lanois "discovered" him and his debut album Living With The Law was recorded at Lanois' studio in the French Quarter circa 1990.

Part of (a pretty big part actually) of the bassline reminds me of the one in “Seconds” by U2 (I know that song was released a couple of years before Lanois had even met the band, but still)

Good one lol. When I saw him in 2012 in Hamilton at his GreenBelt Picnic or something like that, he was dressed as Farmer Bob straw hat and a jean jacket. Brady's Dad played there, as well as Emmy Lou Harris and Feist. Incredible. Trixie wasn't there, but the raw intensity that came from the 3 of them was something to behold!

splits the signal between his AC30 and his Fender... runs his DDL though the Vox, I think, and the Fender is his dry sound... FOH seasons to taste...

Never saw the point in multiple drummers. Drums plus a percussionist makes for a better texture. That said, this is such a fantastic groove.

daflotsam Notice how a backbeat adds to the fullness of a turnaround and maybe we could probably start a discussion here :)

Personally I think Trixie is learning to play the drums now...and this was an experience for her to sing and keep the beat. Learning experience....valuable and she passed! Not the easiest thing, to sing while playing drums.
@MrAdamNTProtester3 жыл бұрын
you need to check out Brian playing alongside his brother Brady... you may have cause to reconsider your viewpoint... I assure you THAT is very much a thing!
