I found my self crying then, i think it was because the break in his voice. At that moment he allowed himself to be vulnerable, and at that moment I knew that - like John's story - Arthur's would not end happily. And in the end, I was able to accept Arthur's death as something that had to happen, like it must for the rest of us.

I am almost 58 years old. Saw RDR2 and bought it. Felt a little shame for me to play a kids play game... it was the first time I played on the PS4. I loved the story, the music, the graphics and I was hooked... thank God I was! It took me months to understand the controls. I think RDR2 is a great example of high level technical and artistic evolutione, I respect this work of art! When Arthur died, I cried. This song is now one of my favorites, the perfect music on perfect timing... Thanks friends, this grandfather is greeting you. Hope to see you in the beautiful world Rockstar created (Don't kill me please, I come in peace ;-) )

Never too old to feed your child side and play games.... games like this is what draws the younger generation in to something as old as westerns..... The younger generation generally see westerns as something old people watch.... if you go on KZbin you can watch the game cut and edited like a movie and it's pretty much the same thing.... the difference between a movie and a video game is that you the person are interacting with it and controlling the character.... in that moment you are the character.... watching a movie is boring by comparison that's why video games are so popular

That's what's always moved me about this game, how well it parallels real life, despite how tragic Arthur's life was, despite how much emotion he felt, once he died the world didn't stop spinning, life moved on without him. If it wasn't for this "game" we wouldn't have been aware of his story. Makes me wonder how many "Arthurs" there are in real life, men and women who gave their very heart and souls for the things they believed in, but their stories weren't remembered because nobody was there to remember. One of the beautifully tragic things about life.

@@juliodicochea2927 Mary means that Arthur in the end cannot leave his life as an outlaw for her. That's the "giant", him being an outlaw, him being unable to give up on Dutch, even for the woman he loves. Arthur himself confirms this as he says (most notably to John but another time at least) that in the end the only thing he lived for was loyalty.

The many miles we walked The many things we learned The building of a shrine Only just to burn May the wind be at your back Good fortune touch your hand May the cards lay out a straight All from your command That's the way it is That's the way it is *There’s a good man within you But he is wrestling like a giant* That's the way it is That's the way it is *I’m really sorry for you son, its a hell of a thing* Blue heron leaves the northern sky Trusts the journey to new heights What's the meaning of the scar If we don't learn how to heal Should we ever be apart Then how does it feel *Our time has pretty much passed* That's the way it is That's the way it is *You saved my life... Your a good man* That's the way it is *Thank you feller. You know, there ain’t enough kindness in this world. That’s for sure.* That’s the way it is *Maybe it’s a sign Arthur. This was the song playing in my head the entire time the doctors were giving me, the youngest child, of our mother's diagnosis. She has stage 4 cancer but it is so rare that they've not been able to determine where it really came from. They wanted to subject her to more tests but her body couldn't just take any more pain. My family decided to give her palliative care and spend the rest of her remaining days in celebrating her life instead of being stuck in the hospital. I listened to this song again as I recalled our happy memories together and finally realized, "That's the way it is".
