This episode only got an average rating of 6.2 on IMDB, which proves like Panos Coasmatos's work so far, that this was very much an acquired taste. You'll either love it or you'll hate it. Personally, despite a couple of flaws, this was a good, solid story. If you liked Mandy or Beyond the Black Rainbow then this should be right up your street.

@@9xkysR I wouldn't say the others were that bad, the cream episode was pretty good, same with the autopsy episode. Didn't think much of the HP Lovecraft episodes, but then I've always felt that Lovecraft wasn't very good at much other than being scared of black people or anyone with melanin. Not that there weren't some good ideas or concepts in his literature, but in reading I always feel like it's inescapably tied to his racism. But idk, most of the season I found to be at least enjoyable or have something interesting, just the Lovecraft adaptation episodes that were kinda garbo.

One of the best things I like about the episode itself is not just the excellent presentation but the true late 1970s to early-mid 1980s vibe that I get from the synths and electronic percussions of the music. Absolutely magnificent.

the track at 3:45 was what really caught my attention. Amazing stuff! Too bad the Streaming Audio quality for Netflix etc sounds like compressed crap and the volume suffers greatly compared to an actual disc. If only Netflix, Prime, Disney+ etc offered a more expensive subscription with lossless uncompressed Audio & Video. I know I'd jump on it!

Daniel Lopatin does a fantastic job at producing ambient/atmospheric soundtracks for movies and TV shows. This song is amazing, from the synth at the beginning to the very end. And the flutes are harmonic, along with the way they fade out. Daniel deserves to do more music for high budget films, because he is truly one of the best soundtrack producers for movies and TV in the modern era. Great job Daniel, keep up the amazing work.
