Now that I look back and think about it, Bushwacked is what the 90's really felt like. Camping, wild adventures, talking trash and having a comeback instead of crying, getting hurt and laughing it off, figuring out solutions instead of shaking in place thinking a miracle will happen. Loved that movie and Stern was perfect for the main character, just his look alone is sketchy but loveable. Had no idea he voiced adult Kevin in Wonder years, makes the movie Little Monsters more interesting and that both Savage brothers were also in it.

"Harry, I've reached the top!!" "Will ya shut up Marve!" I couldn't imagine any other actors being the wet sticky bandits we were blessed with. These two dudes were legendary throughout every scene in both Home Alone & Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.

I think it's probably reasonable to call Daniel Stern an underrated actor. Impressive career working with some of the best people in the industry, and most people will probably only know him as the Home Alone guy. I loved the Wonder Years for many years and had no idea it was him in that! Mindblowing.

Thanks for your research on Daniel Stern! 📝🤓 I had no idea that his (mainstream) acting career spanned decades before Home Alone or how heavily he was involved in iconic voiceovers for tv shows like The Wonder Years. I always saw him as the guy who got his breakout role as Marv then slowly fell off cause he was typecasted, but his trajectory at such a young age, long before the 90's is impressive! Hopefully he was smart with his funds.

Not true about about Home Alone, he turned the role down as he wanted the same money as Joe. Some other guy got cast in the role but he pulled out last minute and then they offered Daniel the role again with the same money so he accepted.

He appears to have been so well known for besides “Marv Merchants “ with “Joe Pesci “ in “home alone and home alone 2”, like “little monsters “ and “city slickers “ and “bushwhacked “ he was a lot younger back in the day and his salary got him so much when he was younger, and then “net worth of $20,000,000.00” and another home in Maryland and having made a net worth of that much, he could actually do so much with both Malibu California and Maryland homes.

He still one of my favs "bad guys" ever , i mean , im afraid to watch more about him cos im afraid to change te view of my childhood merories , it happened before with other actresses like Sarah Michelle Gellar, hard to explain but i guess the best way to say it is more like: im afraid to change the picture i have in my mind of that person that when i was a kid really gave me a good time laughing with family or friends! hes still one of the not many i really didnt watch more after home alone! i know its a bit a silly , but as a spiritual person i am, in days like todays ,hard time ,money crisis all over the globe(not sure about that but in many places we have bad and corrupted politicians and its people like us paying because of them...sorry for the quick off topic). i rather live with my childhood memories because it feels like memories its the core of life, or the core of energy that we take from...something that we need!! BUT....after all....i WANTED to thank you for opening my eyes with this one!!! seriouly thanks man, u truly unlocked me a lot !! Happy new year to you and to every reader or watcher ;)

I only watched Home Alone OG dilogy and remember Daniel Stern from that. And that's it, I didn't watched anything else of his work. And after watching this video I can say that I did a right thing because, for me only his role as Marv in Home Alone is great. Everything else, again in my opinion, is too boring or too simple. And when it comes to watching movies, I prefer more action movies or power fantasy movies. Thus why I don't want to watch his other work. Because it's too simple and for the most part are too realistic, and in my opinion any kind of entertainment is escapeism. It should allow you to escape from rough real world in to some kind of fantasy world to relax and had fun, and original Home Alone movies does just that. But like I said, anything else of his work is just too realistic and thus why I don't want to watch it and I don't like it by just looking at footage from it. Thus at the end Daniel Stern will always remain as Marv from Home Alone movies for me.
