I can appreciate your intentions & efforts here, but fyi, my nephew bought a fake on ebay for $8, and it has almost all the same attributes you've pointed out here as only on the original. The crown, the hands, centering, engraving not printing, etc. Ultimately, I'm sorry, but there is no way there is over a hundred dollars of difference in value between the two.

Hi, thanks for your message! I'm very interested in seeing this $8 watch! It is possible that manufacturers look through videos of DW watches and made some chances to perfect there watches. These watches are very cheap in production so that is something I do agree on and for a $200 you have a nice omega, but the hype does influence these type of watches. So as long as it's in demand they will keep producing these types of watches.

It will scratch as none of them use sapphire glass. A genuine sapphire glass costs about 5x the real price of the watch.

I have made contact with the watch company who make DW watches for other business reasons. There is nothing special about DW watches so when people say fake V real believe me you are better off saving your money and buying an advertised fake, in reality the fakes are of 'near enough' equal quality to the originals.

I’d be staggered if the “fake” & real weren’t manufactured in exactly the same Chinese sweatshop using the same rubbish movement, put inside cases that are used in both real & “fake”. The “fakes” are identical quality (I use that term extremely loosely).

Never buy fakes, this will make you feel bad eventually. If you want similar size, with very similar components look for Besseron watch on ali express, for around 20 usd, you can get stainless steel case and japan mvmt quartz. Well worth the money. Regarding actual DW watches, please read reddit reviews before buying, it is one of the most overpriced watches on the market today. Just a kind suggestion/alternative for those seeking best bang for the dollar. AJ

They are all essentially fakes. They are simple generic watches with cheap mineral glass and the same cheap generic Chinese quartz 'movement'. You are paying approx 30x the real value just for the brand name; a 'brand name' that will simply be the mark of the gullible! I found one of blancpain and that one was almost $300 to $400 for a replica. Replicas are not a smart investment, they're cheaply made and break very very fast. With all that money that you invest in replicas you're better off buying a real watch from any other brand.

Not sure why anyone would fake one of these. DW's aren't high quality watches. They're produced by the same half-dozen watch factories in China. The same factories that make watches for Fossil, MK and all the other fashion brands. There all basically the same watches just with slightly different case and a different name printed on the dial. The guts are all the same. None of these brands make their own products. We're not talking Swiss Made watches or anything. =/

Daniel Wellington watches is just rubbish marketing. The watches are made in Shenzhen, China, and the quartz movement is provided by Miyota a japanese society specialized in providing low quality manufacturers. Though, they look nice.

Because of the name? I'd just buy a knock off without the logo on it. Other companies like ASOS also have much cheaper, very similar looking watches. Bought one of their dress watches that looks very similar to the DW for only 25€ and the quality is quite nice, battery and strap is replaceable and so on.

mdaydj lol there's nothing wrong with a near worthless watch. There's nothing really even wrong with brands charging hundreds for a near worthless watch. There's something incredibly dishonest and frankly unethical about convincing people that they are paying $350 for quality materials and craftsmanship when they use a $10 casio movement, a $15 strap and the glass isn't even sapphire. For the same money you can get watches like the Orient Symphony which take time and skill to make. Nothing snobbish about calling a company out for robbing people. These are not cheap.

If you are going to do a comparison the you need to show the movements where the real money is spent. You didn't! Why? Because that would expose the same cheap crap generic quartz movement in both! By now of course, this video being so old, the brand has been long debunked as a rip off and you must be so embarrassed. All those saying they are crap back then we're 100% right. The two year warranty? Anything that costs $5 to make and sells for $100 the seller can afford that and laugh about it.
