Do you use Zwift to train for events? or are you more of a casual Zwifter?

Dumb trainer CS-1000 Cateye from 1987 , videos , music, races videos . Dec 2023 got a smart trainer and 284 sessions later , from IPAD to 40 INCH smart TV and now serious climber and racer has made my bike stronger and faster for my duathlons . No need to ride outside until race day . And have seen Daniela , A. Gentle , Lionel , Trevor , Matt Hansen , Dede and they zoom right by me , see their power numbers , speed and it shows how often they ride . Wish we had this back in 1987 . Not casual , hard core .

Train safely for races, NYC is tough to hit paces safely at reasonable hours of the day

Yeah, the US in not as bike friendly as the UK. Bike lanes are full of trash, and rocks drivers drive as close as possible to you despite laws requiring them to give you space.

Formerly Zwift, now MyWhoosh. I do 2-3 guided workouts per week in addition to training sessions in other sports. No more time for social ride, so no need to pay monthly. But I love Zwift, it brought me to serious cycling.

Very good conversation with Daniela. Brings up a good point I have been pondering. I live out in the country with One highway and a lot of tourist. No shoulder on the road and the road is riddled with breaks, pot holes and crumbling. Makes me think training on Zwift would be much more beneficial. Way to keep up James. Just the warm up? that was good.

I use zwift for intervals and outside riding for long easy rides, but it does add another bike to the collection 😊

I came from hong kong, there is not bike friendly place , So I use Rouvy and Fulgaz to train for IM and 70.3 .

Indoor training is so cool for this! It gives everyone a chance to get out there and train 🙌

First video from South Africa that didn't include looting or collapse of basic infrastructure I've seen for a long time. Good to see something positive...

Why does the gcn commentator constantly interrupt Daniela?

The age old argument, physical fitness gives you a longer life, having friends gives you a longer life, women traditionaly live longer also.

Hope she has plenty of solar panels and batteries to use zwift when the powers out in ZA.

Tbh she lost electricity there for quite a while. Had a thunderstorm damaging that infrastructure.

To be honest, it might not be safe for her to ride outside... especially alone

SA Roads are terribly unsafe ... no shoulders, aggressive drivers and broken road surfaces - potholes, ruts and crumbling. Much safer indoors ...
