(2022) How to set ANY Song as iPhone Ringtone - Free and No Computer!

Apple would go to any length to make you try their products. Be it hardware or software. This was the first app I had uninstalled after my device was set up. Then I used to buy ringtones from iTunes Store. Recently I wanted some custom-made ringtones from Taylor's Midnights Album and voila here I am watching this tutorial and installing Garage Band again to set a ringtone!! Genius apple!!

I used to use a huwawei and it would let me set my ringtone just using the app i listened to music on It was literally so easy i could clip the song and set it as my ringtone in like 2 minutes

If your reading this you’ll need two phones, use one to play the song or audio you want, and use the other to do a voice recording, after you do that use the three dot button to share and save to files. This works every time I’ve tried it.

Omg, thank you sooo much! It worked!! Really wanted to convert the song “Muhammad Nabina” by Ayisha Abdul Basith into a ringtone and your instructions were everything! For those who are having trouble, remember the portion of the video where he says to “drag”. Don’t be deterred by the wording in the app that says some songs can’t be used. Hold your song of choice down and move it in a dragging gesture and the song will be placed into the editing panel and then follow the instructions in the rest of the video to create the ringtone ✨✨✨. Thank you SO much!! I was so sad thinking I’d just purchased this song to use as a ringtone and couldn’t figure out how to convert the song for that use. Tried for hours before finding this video!

Almost 2 years ago, I put together a quick song for my brother to use for his ringtone. He could never figure out how to put it to ringtone, though. Super useful, I didn’t think this GarageBand trick is still working. Tip if you don’t want the start of the song as a ringtone remain in auto until you got to the poi of the song you like, the put the 30s limit.

They are "protecting" music now, Unfortantly this many year old work around has ended. Now you have to either use a ripped copy and import it into garage band, or just pay the $1.39.

You can screen record from KZbin, put it through an mp4 to mp3 converter (avoid all pop ups) and name the file something else. It doesn’t recognize it at that point (ime).
