Thank you for showing the whole character modeling process as most presenters glamorize it

Yes, I agree, everything is very difficult to understand here. I hope then everything will become clear and easy 😄

Man, retopology is hard.

I don’t understand, starting from 11:56, how you combine the mesh of a metal hand with the general mesh, I’ve reviewed it 100 times))) and still the mesh is not removed correctly, or a completely metal hand, my brain explodes🤯, in any case, many thanks for the tutorial 💟 The retop is really HARD!

I know this is a late reply but he: 1. Went back into Object Mode & selected just the High Rend Model 2. Then, in Edit Mode, selected only the metal part of the arm from that model (might be easier to hide the low rend version to select this part), Copied it, then he seperated that part from the rest of the High Rend Model (shortcut P). 3. Go back to Object Mode and select the now seperated high rend metal part, and Join (ctrl-J) to the Low Rend Model. (at this point you will have overlapping meshes because there are now two metal arm meshes attached to the Low Rend Model). Just make sure that you apply the subdivision surface modifier on the Low Rend Mesh BEFORE joining the High Rend piece to it. 4. Finally select the low rend metal part of the arm in Edit Mode and delete it so that you're only left with the high rend mesh. Note: There's a lot of jumping back and fourth between edit mode and object mode in these steps.
