Go back to the start of this performance - he is presented an award and calls his grandmother up - at his concert in Prague, he had someone cll out to him during one of the songs, not sure which, but he doubled over in laughter and it's the first time I've ever seen Dimash break character - tooooo funny - it's on the Livestreams

Incredible as it may be, I find that Dimash’s voice has gotten even better. His timbre is richer, his baritone and bass notes are deeper and more resonate, and his high notes seem to be even more supported. He truly amazes me. Now when I listen to other vocalists, they all seem so bland, with only one or two colors or nuances to their voices, while Dimash has an infinite palette. I always love your reactions, and you explain so much, thanks.

I read in comments recently that some people claim this performance was lip-synced. I don't care one way or the other. When he sings live in a venue, he usually needs the back up of a sound tech/engineer to ensure the volume is properly balanced and the mix of the music and his voice is correct. This is not always available to him by the organisers, especially when only one or two songs are to be presented. I checked the original video, paying particular interest to his throat for signes of a raised larynx that is present with his high belts in particular and yes, this was present as were the obvious presence, as you mentioned, of stage monitors angled towards him. Also, the crowd he was performing to was relatively small. So no to those who claim this particular performance was lip-synced. I always love to watch your sincere and enthusiastic reaction/analyses to Dimash👍🌷💟🌷

*Simply, Dimash is a world-class athlete. I expect if he wanted to he could run near 4 minutes in a 1500 meter run, with that breath support. It would be interesting to know how fast he could do a simple 5K or 10K*

He is now 28 and has only gotten better. His lower register is so mature now and heavenly. This was a wonderful performance. I usually don't like versions other than Singer when I heard him for the first time. And doesn't he look fine in that white suit, more handsome every year.

i have PERFECT PITCH yep most of it is playback in these concerts ITS FINE with me to preserve his voice just ANNOYING thats all. i think it has to do with his NOSE SURGARY which he did so it makes sense to lipsync and let his nos heal which is part of the voice

@@believeat5708 it's a good thing he's an intelligent singer and doesn't kowtow to the expectations of entitled people. If his Dears can handle the odd playback for health reasons, why should he please anyone else who finds instances of his so-called lip syncing annoying? I would just skip reaction videos of him or not go to his concerts. It's that simple.

Elena, I get you and you're entitled to your opinion. For me, Dimash's classical training in opera has honed his skills in replicating an entire aria in the same way each time. Presumably, it's why he chose crossover - so he's not stuck with opera which would have limited him to singing a song exactly the same way forever. Even if this is playback, his fans on the whole don't mind. They instead honor him by emulating his generosity as an artist, they acknowledge his human failings and give him the benefit of the doubt bc they really love him and appreciate his efforts to entertain them. That's why they don't complain or call out those failings like playback or lipsync. This is a case of empathy, a shared human emotion that has nothing to do with blindly following someone. Dimash treats his fans as family; he is like every Dears son, nephew, grandson, brother, cousin uncle. If they love him so much that they can find it in their hearts to allow him his failings, why can't you?
