I can't even begin to tell you how much of a superfan I am. Dimash is a 26 year, 191cm (6'3") tall, old singer/songerwriter/multi instrumentalist from Kazakhstan. Located close to China & Russia. He speaks in 3 languages, sings in more than 12, and plays many instruments from piano to dombra. He's been singing since the age of 5. His parents are both musicians. His dad is a lyricist and his mom sings opera. He also is a very active young man and plays many sports. He has been known to enjoy swimming and has learned some of his breathing techniques from that. He rose to popularity because of the performance of SOS on the show 'The Singer', a Chinese show, back in 2017. Unfortunately you can't see how many views he has but that performance has over 1 billion views on various video platforms in China. He was the only non-Chinese competitor on the show and was put in as a wildcard even through the show had professional artists. His life basically changed overnight. He currently hold a degrees in vocals and has his master's in music composition. Dimash also has a 6 octave range, getting closer to 7 now a days. Honestly the range isn't really what sets him apart as the world's best vocalist in my opinion. He's extremely versatile. He sings songs in all different genres/styles, sings with so much passion, and has unbelievable stage presence. Dimash calls his fans Dears because they are dear to his heart and if you continue this Dimash journey, I'm positive you will become one too :). As far as to what to listen to next, he sings pretty much all genres. He incorporates many different styles (mostly classical) into different songs or covers. A lot of superfans would suggest you watch the "evolution" of him from all his performances on The Singer series in China in 2017. I don't care about that personally so I would suggest something more modern for you like "Across Endless Dimensions". If you care to hear his most popular performance, I'd suggest "SOS" at the Slavic bazaar. Feel free to subscribe to his official KZbin channel!

I've been watching the Super Vocals videos along with clips of some individual songs and interviews from them that have no CC for English folks like me who, at 72, have barely mastered the English language myself. 😢 but i can't seem to stop watching them anyway. I have found that on most pages Google Translate works great for reading comments, etc. like yours that are in another language.

With a 6-octave vocal range and sublime techniques, no doubt Dimash has the potential to be the best male vocalist in humanity. He is well-known for narrowing the gap among various musical genres(pop, opera, rock, folk , traditional music etc). And he has just received a master degree in music college last year and planned on furthering his education. Hello, I’m from Brazil! The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio (Russian-based Kazakhstani pop music group, "Alma-Ata Studio", city of Almaty). The dead singer left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, who is the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.

Dee-MOSH. He was born with the gift: his dad's a pop singer and song writer, his mom's an opera singer. When he was 5, his mom took him along to one of her practice sessions. A voice teacher took him aside and asked him to sing a few notes for her and announced that he had absolute pitch. They immediately enrolled him in music school. He's from Kazakhstan and also play a lot of instruments. He recently got a master's degree in music composition and is now going for a doctorate. He was offered a position with the Kazakh opera, but prefers to be an innovator, combining a mash up of styles from ethnic and pop to operatic. He has sung in 12 different languages, too. Hey Danielle that was less than 10% of what Dimash can do with his vocals. Yes Genetics is a funny thing Both Parents are award winning vocalists in their country Plus with 3 hours a day vocal training for over 20+ years you get a one in a Billion Vocalist called Dimash. Dimash becomes the Character in all his performances and 5 seconds after goes back to a Humble Shy Guy :) You have a lot of catching up to do. Every song he sings is different he knows every Technique in the book and more and performs them to perfection . Great mic Technique also. Glad your feeling better Dimash can cure your sickness :) By the way Dimash goes much higher and Lower with a lot of control and emotion :)

@@zgadgets I have. And this is one of the most vocally challenging songs of his. There are so many details to discuss. It doesn't show them all, but quite many of his skills. Some people say about SOS 5%, which is again foolish. That song shows a lot of skill as well, even without much low register. Based on what is 10%, or approximately? How do you get it, what skills do you count in, and which are left? If we talk about his voice in terms of technicality, we should try to be accurate. He's impressive enough without exaggerations. Not trying to pick up a fight, just saying. Just because I disagree, it doesn't mean I don't listen to him properly. They said 10% of what he can do vocally, not other aspects.

E6 is simply a warmup note for Dimash. Speaking of Dimash singing both parts of Phantom of the Opera, he has a song written specifically for him called Ogni Pietra (Olympico), which showcases his lower and upper registers. He also does a bit of Ava Maria (angelically) in Love is Like a Dream. I highly recommend both.

This is not none Phantom of the Opera, but the aria Tu vas me détruire from the musical Notre Dame de Paris, which is originally (as it is) a one-man aria, and for the purposes of the singing competition it was transformed into a duet of two men fighting for Esmeralda. The competition featured bass Sundet Baigozhin, who asked Dimash to partner with him. 2016 competition, after Dimash's diploma in classical music (opera singing).

İn turkish and arabic music we dont divide notes into two like beetwen c and d there is only c# but we actual divide it to 9 pieces. So the part when u say 'thats like the same note' they actualy arent dimash is from kazakhstan and familiar with this kind of music so he sing those microtones there and they arent the same notes literaly for us.

You just scratched the surface of discovering the most extraordinary voice there is, insane 7 octave range (what he showed so far live), top class technique trained since age 5, perfect pitch, multi-instrumentalist and composer. You passed the first stage of becoming a Dear (the name Dimash gave his fan's) - being own away by his voice and ability to put emotions into a song. The next stage of becoming a Dear is learning about the styles he sings in and combines (music and singing techniques in general), languages, his country and culture he is so adorably proud of to share and then then what makes people love him so much - the man behind the voice - a surprisingly down to earth, very gentle and thoughtful young man, always respectful and kind no matter where he is with the stunning ability to draw people together from teenagers to people up to their 90's from litteraly all around the world.

You are saying his voice correctly. This song is just the usual for Dimash. He leaves me speechless and breathless with most of his songs. The rest are just ..sit back..relax...enjoy!! He has never disappointed me yet and I've been his fan for 3 years now. I love the fact that he doesn't have a "genre". Well except for Dimash genre which is everything from Opera to rap and everything in between. I am 65 years old and am a dear with millions of others of all age groups. I have been a "dear" for over 3 years now. I am SO happy that people in the USA are FINALLY watching Dimash. His first experience on the USA show,"World's Best" was TERRIBLE- this show was SO disrespectful to Dimash that he walked away from the million dollar prize. (he had told the producers he would not compete against children as he had been training for 20 yrs and it would not be fair. When it came down to him and 2 children- he walked away. Rue Paul was so disrespectful I was ashamed of how the USA treated this master of voice.) He still goes to the University- just got his doctorate a few months ago and is continuing on for his masters. He LOVES all music and sings, pop, opera, rockish, and yes has even rapped. Dimash was born to sing and entertain. I see all the comments of songs to listen to- one song at a time, okay? LOL If you want to see him live at one of his concerts and have a couple of hours- I would suggest watching the DEC 2019 concert at Barkleys in NYC- his first American concert. Great reaction! Just in case no one else has mentioned it, he didn’t win the voice (the presenter got it wrong) he wasn’t on the voice but he was on ‘I am Singer’ in China in 2017 which is where he first became recognised worldwide. All the performances from there are live, his first performance was SOS which launched him to instant fame in China. I would love to see you follow him through the Singer, starting with SOS. Others will say Slavic bazaar version but I think the Singer one is more emotional and it’s where it all started. Really hoping you do more Dimash, there is so much more to come 🤗🇬🇧

Lol when you said “I haven’t heard a male singer sound this clean in falsetto” at the first half I literally said “she hasn’t heard anything yet!”. His range is even wider if you can believe it. Before knowing about Dimash, I used to listen to voice blind auditions, many rock bands, metallica, nightwish ,freddy, ginger, adele etc. for those crazy high notes, surprises, beautiful voices yada yada....But after listening to dimash's 10-15 songs..whenever I try to listen to the best of the world outisde Dimash they dont stand a chance, best auditions that I admired so much like fernanado daniel portugal adele's song, one radiohead creep on america's got talent etc. have now faded to amateurs, used to be my best singers in the world when I listen to their best songs now, my mind immediately says Dimash definitely could have done much better to the same song...it is no fun to watch any other music now. Seriously. Dimash is the best. The best ever.
