Daniel's opponent is underrated I think. I looked at his account and he has a max bullet rating of 2500 and his max blitz is in the 2400's. Hiss max rapid rating is in the 1900's though, so it's not like he got his rating down on purpose.

The Qf6-Qg5 idea by black was fantastic. Probably the best game of the speedrun so far. I wonder how much different the position is at say 9:00 is from a Benoni. It looks exactly the same except with the pawn on e7 instead of d6. Does that affect the ideas at all in the position? Maybe black can more easily open up the center with Re8 and then e6?
@SoraNeku
@SoraNeku Жыл бұрын
Yes. The difference might be subtle but it is important much like the difference of Rad1 and Rfd1 in the game. The move order is also different albeit a much smaller or even negligible difference.

Ideas like “I have connected passers, any endgame is likely good for so let’s trade all the pieces” are so intuitive when they come out of Danya’s mouth, but not so intuitive when I’m playing my games. I bet I don’t miss it next time from the side with the passers or the side without, this content is so helpful.

Hi Daniel, I just wanted to ask, can you make a video on how to play chess with yourself (over the board or on PC)? I heard that some masters in the past used to play with themselves and it was very useful. One of my cousins who actually passed away 2 years ago was IM and he used to train like this but no one can tell how he used to do it. So I was wondering if you know this techinque. Thanks in advance for your reply.

My guess is that you can open up 10 or so games and play each side with some time in between each move on each board. That way you don't see the same board for a while and you're constantly pushing new positions in front of yourself (so long as you intentionally play different openings on different boards).

Hey Danya, great video as always! Thank you for the amazing content, you are one of the main reason my chess skills are improving :)) I'm not sure I understand why e4 c5 c3 d5 exd5 Nf6 is worth studying as white since you can always play e4 c5 Nf3 first, and bait black into playing something like Nc6, which after c3 d5 exd5 now black cannot play Nf6 because the c6 knight hangs, has to play Qxd5 and transpose into the main line. Is there something I am missing? I personally quite like this line as black and would like to make it my main repertoire, but I currently do not have a great answer to e4 c5 Nf3. I thank anyone in advance for any kind of advice :)
