Everything I do I have perfected over years of being nocturnal to make the minimum amount of noise and being highly noise-sensitive myself and i’m one of those annoying people with misophonia, but, like, I realize that I need to understand that my noise sensitivity at this point is more my problem than that of the people around me, so i bought noise-cancelling headphones to help me stay sane. I live on the ground floor, but even if i didn’t i’ve fine-tuned my walking to be silent, so much so that i would accidentally spook my housemates regularly (back when i had housemates) because they don’t hear me coming. I want to just tell them, “look, it’s obvious at this point that you wish i didn’t live here, and it’s unfortunate that the walls are thin, but I also wish y’all were gone, so let’s just all suck it up and accept that people make noise sometimes.” It’s the hypocrisy that really gets me, like they bother me with their noise but i’m the one who has to be silent as a mouse? no. I can forgive a bit of noise, but i expect the same courtesy in return, ya feel? \end{rant} lmao thank you for letting me get this off my chest
