I was very open to respect Savannah's decision to take the crown. However, the fact that she could confidently say the allegations are false when she was not there says a lot about Savannah's poor character. I've always got a mean girl vibe from Savannah and she confirmed it with this interview.

Miss USA tried to charge the contestants for the shoes that Jojo Bragais sponsored. Lol. And they said $200 is the 'discounted' price per pair? $300 for the nude ones. Jojo Bragais never charge if he sponsors pageants, even for smaller city and provincial pageants here in the Philippines. Also, the amount they tried to charge the girls for a pair? Bragais pageant shoes retails between $ 75 - $100 a pair. They tried to charge the girls double the retail amount for shoes that they got for free.

After Crystle took over, it became a joke. She has what 2 or 3 employees working for her now?! They just now over a week after the pageant updated the website. And Alma Cooper has done one interview as Miss USA. And the only reason that she got that interview was because Lu Parker, Miss USA 1994, was a judge and works for the station that interviewed her. Hi Dani! Long time lurker here. I love your channel! I attended finals night for Miss USA 2024 with a friend who had previously been interested in competing. It was a childhood dream of mine and a bucket list item. Prior to this, I had only been to state pageants. Without a doubt, the state pageants I attended in years past were more organized, professional, and an overall better experience. I went back and forth on whether or not to buy tickets, because of all of the allegations against the current leadership and how they have handled criticism and concerns with such a lack of professionalism. Ultimately we decided to go, because we were already in DTLA that weekend for work. Also, as you've mentioned in several of your videos, the girls have worked extremely hard to reach that stage and deserve support. It's not the contestants fault that the current leadership is a red hot mess. So, we went. Not surprisingly, it was overall an absolute nightmare and an embarrassment. It was so bad that I have even considered making a video about our experience. I had several points to mention , some of which you covered in this video, but there are also a few things that those who saw the live telecast wouldn't have seen or noticed. Unfortunately, I am not sure anyone would watch it or care, because so many pageant fans have given up on Miss USA, at least until there is new leadership. I also have zero experience making videos for KZbin or any other platform. Do you think there would be any interest in something like this? Again, I love your channel. I first came here for pageant content, but have taken away so much more from your videos. So much of the pageant advice you give can be applied to public speaking and interview skills for anyone. It has helped me tremendously in my professional life. So, for that- thank you so much! Big hug!

I really want to say kind words about this system since I broke into pageantry with them but "free for all " wardrobes and inadequate meals is NOT how things should be ran at national level pageant. Secondly, the way that the judges got more screen time than most girls who worked their asses off to be there is appalling. Third, they haven't a clue on what to do with their winners. ten days in and they're just posting Alma's interview from August 4th and recycling her crowning pics over and over. Mess USA! Love the shade, girlfriend! I think the worst part of removing any past Misses from the website except for their crowning is that it emphasizes the misguided notion in the public's mind that pageants are about pretty girls in evening gowns competing for a crown. In fact, these women (at all levels) spend the overwhelming majority of their time in community service and public appearances that are geared toward fundraising.
@AnimalLover24004 ай бұрын
What community service did Noelia do besides that one time going to a school or something ?
@anakreyszig3034 ай бұрын
@@AnimalLover2400 I believe (please correct me if I am incorrect on this issue) one of the major more or less public issues Noelia faced during her reign was the fact that the Miss USA organization did not book the usual (or any, really) events for her, and for various reasons (liability, the fact that when you are Miss _____, you are not yourself, the individual, but a representative of the organization), she could not pick up the phone and book events for herself -- the organization had to do it for her. If you look through this channel, there is a video called "Where is Miss USA" (or something along those lines), evidencing the fact that the Miss USA organization failed to book Noelia for much of anything. Again, the LR era of Miss USA keeps sending the message that Miss USA is nothing more than a pageant where they crown a pretty girl in an evening gown. The main reason I have loved and supported the pageant world is because of its focus on community service.

Unless Laylah Rose resigns or decides to appoint a new president for the Miss USA organization, I doubt the pageant will survive if there aren't changes or someone doesn't do anything, and it's going to be a snowball that's going to get bigger and bigger until it gets out of control.

My local state USA pageant cut the participation fees in half to get girls to sign up by 1 month. the value of being a titleholder is diminishing

I feel so bad for Alma, I have a feeling she knew was getting herself into and hopefully prepared herself for the worst. Being Miss USA isn’t just about going to Miss Universe. Alma is smart and has such a strong resume that she’ll excel at MU but will she have nothing else to make her reign substantial and fulfilling? Miss USA org is on the same level of the Miss Kyrgyzstan org at this point in time. Maya from Kyrgyzstan hasn’t had any financial support from her organization and has payed for everything out of pocket, and she has made some insane photoshoots and productions all on her own will and ability, she edits all the photos and videos herself, she pays and schedules the location, the makeup artists, the photographer, the rentals, etc. Maya has been able to accomplish so much on her own because her org won’t do any of it for her but she was crowned in 2023 so she’s had time. Two organizations with not enough funds to support their title holders the difference: one is small central Asian country that’s not super well off versus literally the country with the highest GDP in the world.

Alma will place thanks to sash factor while Maya may be lucky to walk away with a side award.

And if Alma fails to enter the semifinalists in Miss Universe 2024 which will be held on November 16 at the CDMX Arena in Mexico City, it's going to get worst for the Miss USA organization.

The ultimate confirmation that this current Miss USA management is a colossal mess is when they hired Jordan Kimball. That was the most random-ass move ever. If you're gonna have to go as low as hiring someone from Bachelor Nation, then at least have it be anyone who has had even minimal pageant experience. The bar is not even on the floor - it's buried underground.

Honestly I usually don’t care much for USA usually since I’m more Mexican than American and I always end up rooting for the motherland at MU anyway BUT!!! This is so disheartening and sad and will make this narrative that pageants are horrible for women even more palpable in our country. We all need to begin sending private messages to MU, especially Osmel Souza since he is the President Advisor. If we all continue to comment “please investigate the USA Org” consistently and constantly, they are bound to have to investigate. But who would even take over? 😭😭

I am by no means a pageant girlie, so my base knowledge on most of this is pretty useless. I am, however, a healthcare provider whose primary patient base is young women. And I'm also a very passionate, very loud social justice activist. And that stuff about the meals? That made me vociferously angry. You mentioned the impacts that not getting meals could have on even perfectly healthy contestants who are just busy and need their fuel, as well as on those with blood sugar issues like diabetes - all true. But you know where my mind went immediately? Eating disorders. About 20 million American women have an active eating disorder or are in recovery from one. And they concentrate significantly in image-conscious populations - like, I dunno, pageant contestants. I'd bet my next paycheck that there were at LEAST a couple women in this competition who have struggled or are currently struggling with eating disorders and all the physical and psychological hell they bring with them. You're 1000000000% right that a failure to provide adequate, timely food to these women endangered their health and safety. I am wondering how many of them were set back in their recoveries from disordered eating by this organization's negligence.

Suuuuuch a good point. Honestly, pageant production is one thing. But, I’m most saddened by the lack of care for their safety and health. That’s what was the most crazy thing to me about all of this. IT’S NOT OKAY. And no one seems to care. Sure something terrible didn’t happen this time. Emphasis on this time. The ladies shouldn’t face any of this negligence, IMO.

There is a big difference between a runner up who assumes the title when the original winner becomes Miss Universe and Savannah. She accepted a tainted crown under the worst of circumstances. A true deserving queen would never bash the woman who held the crown before her. 22:00

What did Savannah do for Maui? Didn’t she say she took the title to raise awareness for Maui? Maui where? Also note she was in Bali when she got a call from Noelia. You want the crown and attention, just say that.
@AnimalLover24004 ай бұрын
She said she lives in Bali part-time, so what if she wasn't in Maui, she can always go back and help.
@Mickovid4 ай бұрын
But did she? Seems like she went to Bali after the competition? Mention Maui to justify getting the crown, but didn’t even do anything in Maui with the crown? Huh?

Savannah Gankiewicz was using the victims and deaths in Maui to gain popularity in MU w/o ever actually giving back to Lahaina. Make sure you use her full name when typing here so the SEO crawlers on search engines can find this post
