MGI is growing on me. I first watched it in 2020 when USA won and Philippines was 1RU--they were an iconic duo. I loved the energy and party vibe. I've watched every year since and I think they consistently get it right. I like how how the contestants get a lot of camera time and speaking time.

Mr Nawat has been in a pageant business for more than 20 years so breaking up with Miss earth as a ND is not the reason for him to start Miss grand. I think beauty pageants are not the same as they used to be. Luis, you forgot to include the process of choosing the winners. Miss Earth has credible judges and accounting firm to verify the results while Miss Grand is being picked by the owner. I'm not too fond of it when people say something is better just because it is older. Something is better when it is performing better AT THE CURRENT TIME. It does not matter how good/bad that thing was in the past, if it is better this time, IT IS BETTER THIS TIME. Regarding advocacy, every beauty pageant organization has its own interest. Miss Earth organization wants to advocate for Earth's well-being, while MGI organization wants to focus more on their business. They may be not very serious about their so-called fighting war and violence advocacy but at least the message is there. Millions of people watch the show and millions of them get the message and it is up to them whether they want to implement it. For Miss Earth, the same thing happens, it's just that they are more consistent with their advocacy. But how effective are their advocacies? Both sides still have not shown the effectiveness of their advocacy campaigns. Do we still have wars around the world? Yes. We have the Israel-Palestine war and the Russia-Ukraine war. Do we still have violence around the world? Definitely yes. Every day, people are dying from domestic violence and murder cases are still high in certain countries (and surprisingly these countries have people who love beauty pageants including MGI so much). I don't even have to cite any reference to prove these, because it is very clear. Is the climate change still worsening? Yes. The world is getting hotter, and some countries are sinking. Is the Philippines the cleanest country (I am mentioning specifically the Philippines because they own the ME and so they should get exposure to the organization's advocacy more)? No. They're in the Bottom 15 in the "Cleanest Countries in the World 2024 Ranking" (World Population Review, 2024). Are the Filipinos the best at implementing the "reuse and recycle"? No. They're not even in the Top 50 in the "Recycling Rates by Country 2024 Ranking" (World Population Review, 2024). At the end of the day, every beauty pageant is solely for business. Without business, a beauty pageant organization cannot run, unless it consistently gets free funds and sponsors. Each beauty pageant organization wants money.

On the other hand, ME is advocating for Environmental Protection and Sustainability, candidates are able to speak for the causes that they believe in- prior/ during/ after the competition. A lot of ME haters focus their hate on Karen and the back-to-back win of the Philippines. Is it impossible? No. Just because the Philippines is the owner and mostly the host country doesn't mean you can invalidate the efforts of its contestants or beauty queens. As people see it as an advantage having more supporters, it's actually a double edge sword as it gives candidates more pressure too. Karen Ibasco may not be everyone's cup of tea but it's undeniable she was very smart and outspoken. Also, let me add. Many bashers of Miss Earth believes in superficial beauty without 🧠. MU, MI and MW, all these include intelligence too.

Yes in production only but that is not only the basis... You need to have a clear vision because beauty pageant is a venue for advocacy platform not for online selling. The only pageant recognize by UNICEF an international organization and has been awarded internationally.. Even Miss universe and Miss world and International cannot attain it.. I was shocked to learn that misso is comparing the two pageants when in fact they already conducted a survey of 6 of the pageants where the bottom 3 are miss world international and supranational. And the top 3 are grand universe and earth. Comparing the 2 pageants make no sense if misso wants to remove a pageant to their list it is miss international and supranational as the bottom 2 on their list. 😅

ME is consistently focused until now on its earth-related initiatives, awareness, education campaigns and advocacies even recognized by the UN as the today's most relevant and impactful pageant in the world despite of not having best stage production every year while MGI having one night extravagant stage production yearly, people dont see its advocacy “to stop war and conflict in the world.” MGI queen turned into always live sellers of MANY GOODS and ITEMS（MGI）of Nawat. ME also has no big issues, big controversies, big dramas every year but only advocacy-focused. For me, ME will be the unbothered pageant although some people and some countries are trying to drag it down. No one or group can drag down a legit, relevat, environmentally and socially impactful pageant which is the forever unbeatable ME - the MEANINGFULLY ELEVATING （ME）pageant through the years.

Was highly disappointed with this year's Miss Earth production, burned LED's, no choreography, gals didn't knew what to do next, dark stage with bad quality production, but we cannot take away the fact that ME is really fair competition with No sash factor much fair than MU & MGI. I was happy with this year's MGI results it seemed fair but drama in the organization doesn't make it classy, things they did with Cambodian organizers are unacceptable.

The Cambodian team did not meet the performance standards outlined in the contract. As a result, MGI has the right to terminate the contract. The ND of Cambodia admitted that she lacked the experience to produce a show at a world-class level. Nawat is unwilling to risk the MGIO's reputation by relying on an amateur team, which was why he brought the whole team back to Thailand to demonstrate the expected standards. He accomplished this within just three days of preparation, resulting in the best production of the year. If Nawat had been in the wrong the Cambodia ND would have sued him; however, she can't do that because everything is stipulated in the contract. Some Cambodian pageant fans need to accept that their ND was not ready for a role at this level. Instead of feeling insulted, the Cambodia team should take accountability and work on improvements for next time.

@ Sweetie there was never a boat till today there is not a boat. The video that was shown was not for MGI. It can easily be proven by just a receipt 🧾. Time and date the boat was booked and paid for. The ND couldn't provide the evidence and the boat wasn't the only problem. You can clearly see the difference between the two preparations. Professional vs amateur. I highly doubt MGI would be considered the best edition had Nawat not taken it into his own hands this year. It would be like MU this year total embarrassment had it been left to the Cambodian team

No 5-course meals no champagne 🍾 you serve peanuts 🥜 crackers, cheese, and beer in plastic cups to your guests. While you may call this a dinner party, others might see it as an uncultured finger-food gathering meant for close friends-not appropriate for a company's dinner event! Hosting a corporate dinner party requires a different level of preparation and consideration. Just like being the country host for MGI! You need to have the experience to do it at this level. Luis video has an influence of the fact that he judges or hosts the paegent. Miss Earth has lost its relevance. You show me videos where the winners did more than planting few trees here and there. Miss Grand International do need to focus on their Stop the war and Violence campaign. Agree. But providing a great production, listening to what people needs also should be considered. And at the end of the day every paegent is a business. Every organisation gets money from sponsors, money from National Level Organisations as Licese/Franchise fees, every winner who gets invited to other countries, the organisation gets money from the sponsors of the countries their winners are been invited too. At the end of the day a beauty pageant is a business. No one is doing free of cost charity. Lets not sugarcoat it with words like "Relevance" and "Legacy". Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss International, Miss Earth, Miss Grand International and Miss Supranational, all are run and owned by Businessman/woman. Atleast Nawat and MGI has the guts to openly say that its a business they are doing. And in return they do provide world class accomodations, great prize money and prizes to their winners. Also, they give great and entertaining shows. If they are earning money, they are also spending it, unlike Miss Earth that is banking family accounts. At the end, we all have to accept, despite the hiccups, MGI gave a Spectacular show, a well deserving winner and a great show.

Characters of big Four, they dont do Live Selling by their queens. It cheapens the brand. They have established names and advocacy. Miss Earth has more franchise than Grand outside southeast asia. Grand has production value but no unique theme or format. They can compete with supra for that value.

I agree that Miss Earth, the other top 3, and MGI all equally have a right to the top. Each one is unique in its own right and relevant. But talking about relevance there is a big shift in pageants. I don't think the general audience is interested in pageants like they were before unless it's still very popular in a country. They influenced what relevance meant. The general audience does like to be entertained so I think Grand has that to hold their interest but not because of pageants. I think that the demographics will be only pageant fans which can change what it means to be a relevant pageant. It's like Fencing still known all over the world but nobody cares unless you like it. Pageants aren't catching up fast enough with the world's trends, kinda like you mentioned Earth can be very relevant since climate control is very important but isn't with the times. I do see them, all trying though!
