I had one of those. Literally that exact one, same 256MB, same blue. I think they only came in blue, silver, and pink. Mine worked perfectly fine with drag and drop on XP, no driver disc installation necessary, so maybe it's a Mac issue. Traded up for a 2GB Sansa Clip. Loved that thing, and I'm like 2 Jame-o gingers away from buying one on eBay at any given point in time. Eventually I upgraded from the Clip to a 4GB 2nd gen Shufflé. Loved it, but hated iTunes and went back to the Clip for the radio and screen, and the ability to charge and listen to music at the same time. SanDisk made good nuggets. Reliable, affordable, and respectable nuggets.

4:21:23 I have _several_ questions: 1. Why is the mom looking on with such glee and touching the screen? Is she just that excided about what the old man had on his farm? Did she have her Tim Tams before she plugged in the USB? Is it a _touch screen_ 4:3 knockoff NEC monitor in 2006? 2. Why is she using the keyboard with her right hand, but not even the arrow keys? She's actively typing _letters_ (X, C, and V, it looks like) while pointing at the screen. Does the software not support the massive mouse, and only supports massive keyboards? Look at those absolute units! That mouse is making my hand cramp sympathetically. 3. What is the "Kid-Tough™ FP3 Player" resting on? It's slightly elevated. Is it resting on the coiled, unused mouse cord? 4. Are the keyboard and mouse wireless? They don't seem to have any cords. 5. Why is the software in full screen? Is that just how it runs? 6. Why is the PC in a horizontal configuration _next to_ the monitor, when the point of having it horizontal is to sit the monitor on top to save desk space? I hate. Angery.

Oh hey that Siemens is using a somewhat rare type of colour LCD which, instead of having colour subpixels, messed with the polarisation of the liquid crystal to produce 3 or 4 colours in an otherwise normal monochrome construction. It's such a hack, but also pretty historically cool.

The white layer of the screen faces the PCB and it looks like the contacts and overhang go up top. If you clip it together with the rubber band in place and a new battery, the clock should spring back to life.

3:09:25 Well, if you're really desperate , I can get such a Shrek Watch going and send it back for free, though the NL is far to ship such a silly thing. It's much easier than the GBX/D-1/200 watches or F91-W-like B640s, like your yellow Garbage Time monster. Of which I have fully disassembled, even modified and successfully re-assembled 4, all of which still work. But it's easy enough for a James to do too and you have plenty of spares to shrek.

Honestly, since theres a fair bit of quality buds here, even walmart's generic "onn." bluetooth earbuds which cost 10 USD, sound surprisingly good. I wouldn't do any music production on them, but they're genuinely good enough to listen to music on, at least by my standards as a musician
