The reason why the screen is freaking out is because the 30 pin cable's ground (the metal on the outside of the connector) is somehow getting current through it , it could be a bad cable or a bad powerbank

My first iPhone was a 4S (my first smartphone too). Still my favourite out of the phones I’ve had. I got it as a hand me down in 2016

1:40 "Ew, this is how you start fires around here" he says, when we've seen him use pliers to twist the pins on a plug before

The difference is voltage. Those plugs can handle more volts than the iPhone charging brick can

iPhone 4s was my first smartphone and in high school with a jailbreak on it was completely amazing. All apps were free all in app purchases free and no ads on any platforms.

God the iPhone 4S has got to be my favorite iPhone ever released. I love the small size of the iPhone, the old iOS, and the headphone jack. And the addition of Siri was mind blowing back in the day.

Its always interesting seeing devices like these out of the box new not work, I SOMEHOW still have my old iPod touch and it works great still

I’ve got a working 4S in black, jailbroken it to go back to iOS 6 and then did a camera test to compare it to my 14 Pro Max. It actually holds up as long as you’re in a decently lit scenario. Such a gorgeous phone tho

My mom is still using an og iphone 4. Had to change the battery couple years ago, but other than that works just fine for her, since she only needs the basic phone functions and some simple utilities like timer and stuff

That was my favourite phone, nothing was that much of an upgrade on the user experience as the iPhone 4, but this model put it right.

I remember having that issue with my old iPhones. It had to do with the charger block (or in my case, the USB output of a 120v car inverter) not having proper filtering and introducing a crapload of electrical noise on the negative rail. Plug it into a good quality power bank and you should be fine.

I still have the old 12 pin Connector cables which have clips on the side to hold them in place. so chunky and solid. You need one of those

Hey, quick shears tip. Push the ends of the blades toward each other with one hand, and hold the whatever with the other. It cuts so much better.

Funnily enough iPhone 4S was actually 8GB minimum i think, i fixed few of those some years back, it's crazy to think 8GB and 16GB used to be flagship storage size, meanwhile now you have more RAM in a flagship than you had storage back then.
@astroidexadam5976 Жыл бұрын
the iPhone 14 Pro Max has 6GB RAM
@DrEtzor Жыл бұрын
@@astroidexadam5976 And even mid-tier Nothing Phone 1 has 8GB, an iPhone 14 Pro Max is not the only flagship device out there, although you do make a good point when an Asus ROG Phone has 18GB of RAM for same price.

I bought an iPhone 4 from an estate sale like 2 weeks ago, and I got it with a passcode and it got activation locked when I restored it. Because the previous owners don't want to help at all, it now sits in a drawer. would love to have it work and use it as a joke, but I've contacted the previous owner and Apple multiple times, no help. All the previous owner needs to do is go to devices on their apple ID and press remove on the iPhone, they arent interested in helping.

i still remember a friend having one of those and being proud of Siri sometimes working and that he could change his background (not sure if he needed to jailbreak it for that) iPhones really never were ahead in tech.

Ahh the 4s, my first new phone.i remember it fondly, despite the fact that it was only 8gb and on iOS 9, so slow AF and nothing even fit on it. Still some fond memories, same with the used iphone 4 I got before. Listened to so many songs on trips on these iphones (and my 2012 walkman), so fun!
