We invite you to join us for Conversations With Jewish Believers In Jesus hosted by Jeff Morgan. In this episode, Jeff talks with Danna Weiss about how her attempts at doing “good” things actually had a dramatically negative effect on her life.
Though raised in a Jewish household, Danna Weiss connected more with New Age beliefs. For many years, Weiss worked as a proficient professional crystal healer and Kundalini yoga and meditation teacher. But after suffering from severe physical ailments and traumatic visions that her metaphysical practice couldn’t assuage, Danna questioned her beliefs. Soon after, she began to follow Yeshua and immediately began to heal. Today, she shares her experience with those in similar situations, offers support, and helps them find a new path to freedom.

it is just miraculous that in the last few years, many have come to Christ, and I include myself. I used to look down on christianity as a made up religion, until the 2020 pandemic when I decided to open the bible and read it, then the Lord spoke to my heart and convicted me of my errors and He called me to follow Him. Praise God!

@@jewsforjesusThanks for the video yes yoga and Hinduism is demonic. Hinduism is also reincarnation . Wich is not true there's one life then judgement day. Reincarnation weakens the mind by making people believe they have many lives left to stop sinning. Jesus said if your eye causes you to sin pluck it out for it is better to enter paradise with one seeing eye rather than entering hell with with two seeing eyes. 2 Timothy 2:19 King James Version (KJV) Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

So true, as a young man in christ me and my friends were all over the place, this book that book, this song that song, this rock star pastor that one. When i look back on this i am amazed how distracted we were from the real Jesus. Even when you look at so called church, with its hierarchies and compare it to the simplicity of Acts we fall very far short. And yet Jesus still saves and yet Jesus still does great things through us, its simply amazing.

I like Dana's point about narcissism. Also I would like to add that I agree with orthodox christian' point of view on diseases. We should treat them like the right robber had treated his suffering: "And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss."(Luke 23:41). Because if we treat them the opposite way it shows our pride and selfishness.

He Who Rides On The Clouds 🌥: Baal is a western Semitic title that means Master or Lord. While it can actually refer to a large number of different deities, Baal in this case refers to Hadad, the Canaanite and Syrian god of rain, fertility, life, agriculture and thunder, particularly popular in Ugarit and Aleppo. He was worshipped in many ancient Middle Eastern communities, who considered him one of the most important gods in their respective local pantheons. He was at least in part derived from the Sumerian god Ishkur, but their character differed substantially; while Ishkur represented the destructive power of storms, the western Semitic Baal was the master of life-giving rains vital for farmers. Thanks to his huge influence, Baal was designated as the universal god of fertility, and in that capacity his title was Prince, Lord of the Earth. He was also called the Lord of Rain and Dew, the two forms of moisture that were indispensable for fertile soil in Canaan In Ugaritic and Hebrew, Baal's epithet as the storm god was He Who Rides on the Clouds. In the Baal (Lord) Cycle he's frequently called "Aliyan Baal" or "Baal, the victorious." In Phoenicia, he was called Baal Shamen, Lord of the Heavens. In Syria, hail was seen as a phenomenon closely related to him. He was also the king of the gods, and, to achieve that position, he was portrayed as seizing the divine kingship from Yam, the sea god, described as a tyrannical ruler. Baal was probably also regarded as the source of royal authority for human kings, and myths and prayers depict him as an ally and protector of humans. In his main myth, the so-called Baal Cycle, Baal was locked in mortal combat with Mot, the personification of death and sterility. If Baal triumphed, humanity would thrive; but, if he were to be vanquished by Mot, humans would suffer and their crops would wither away. While the myths present a decisive conclusion to the conflict, some scholars assume it was believed to repeat in cycles. Like many deities of the ancient Near East, Hadad was always represented in a horned headdress. In art, he's often shown holding a club and thunderbolt or two clubs. While Mesopotamian depictions of the storm god and the famous Baal stele depict him as a typical bearded Near Eastern god, many Canaanite depictions are instead more similar to Egyptian warriror gods and beardless. Baal was also frequently associated with bulls. The bull was a widespread symbol of divinity in ancient Mespopotamia and areas infuenced by it. Other storm gods from cultures closely related to that of ancient Canaan, like Hurrian Teshub and Hittite Tarhunna, were depicted very similarly to Baal in art, and their myths shared many similarities as well. The Egyptian god Set in his generally positive aspect as a god of foreigners was also associated with Baal, taking his role in the Egyptian adaptation of the Yam narrative. Baal is usually associated with the goddesses Ashtart (commonly called "the Face of Baal," indicating particularly close bond between these two deities), a western Semitic equivalent of Ishtar, and Anat, both of who are often interpreted as his consorts. Anat is also called Baal's sister, though it's unclear if they share the exact same parents, as in Ugaritic texts Baal calls two separate gods, El (the husband of Asherah) and Dagan, his fathers. Whether the two fathers were one and the same or if one of these was simply a courtesy title indicating superior status is a matter of scholarly debate, though cultic rather than mythical texts regard Dagan as separate from El. The name Baal, or Ba'al, is used as a substitute of Hadad in some ancient texts and in common modern usage. This is possibly derived from the fact that in ancient Canaan only priests were allowed to utter the divine name, in much the same way as in Judaism where only priests were allowed to utter the name of God, so common people simply referred to him as Baal. It's also possible the title was eventually deemed to be integral to Hadad's cult it functionally became his main name. The word ba'al and its plural form were also used in the Hebrew Bible to refer to cult images, and in this context they were regarded as false gods. Because of this, several demons were derived from Baal, including Bael and Beelzebub. Many of the most famous biblical references to Baal, for example the tale of Jezebel, are related to the traditions of the cities of Sidon and Tyre, where the title of Baal was applied to deities other than Hadad. 🕊

The Jewish tradition of Passover may have begun as a ritual connected with the myth of Mot killing Baal (Hadad). Passover is held at the end of the rainy season, which could symbolize the death of Baal, as he was the god of rain. In the myth, Mot eats Baal like a lamb. During Passover, the priests eat lamb. However, the bones of the lamb are not broken, possibly signifying that Baal will return in the fall. During the festival, the priests prepare the body of the lamb in a similar fashion as Anat kills Mot. The festival may have started with the belief that by participating in the death of Baal, they would insure that rains would not come during the spring, as rain in the spring could ruin the crops. A few references in the Bible also appear to be a memory of Mot, such as vague mentions of seemingly personified death in the books of Hosea, Habakkuk and Jeremiah.

When a Jewish person comes to Him, I don’t understand calling Him Jesus? Some, I hope most, Christians know His actual name is ישוע, phonetically Yashua. Though commonly the spelling is Yeshua? Again, not sure why? At any rate the Greek translated Ιησούς and then anglicised, is where we get Jesus, and that’s a long way from His true name? If I was Jewish, I would want very much to identify with Him through that. A thing as a none Jew, I can’t do. He could have come to any nation, had any Name, but He chose to be born in the house of David. He chose that name? Why wouldn’t all Christianity use it, but most especially Jews?

Yahwism: the Uncountable (polytheistic religion of Iron Age Israel) Is the Yahweh (J source) and Leviathan (P source) in the Ugaritic texts? In 1 Kings 22:19-22 we read of the Yahweh meeting with his heavenly council. This is the very description of heaven which one finds in the Ugaritic texts. For in those texts the sons of god are the sons of El. Other deities worshipped at Ugarit were El Shaddai, El Elyon, and El Berith. Yam, also known as Ym and Yaw (YHW), is the Ugaritic god of rivers and the sea. Also known as Judge Nahar ("Judge River"), he is also one of the Elohim or sons of El, the name given to the Levantine pantheon. Others dispute the existence of the alternative names, claiming it is a mistranslation of a damaged tablet. Despite linguistic overlap, theologically this god is not a part of the later sub regional monotheistic theology, but rather is part of a broader Levantine polytheism. He is also known from Egyptian sources, which present him as an enemy of Set (at the time viewed as a heroic slayer of monsters and similar to Levantine and Anatolian weather gods). Yam is the deity of primordial chaos and represents the power of the sea, untamed and raging; he is seen as ruling storms and the disasters they wreak. The seven-headed dragon Lotan is associated closely with him and the serpent is frequently used to describe him. Despite his antagonistic role in myths, Ym was sometimes invoked in theophoric names, indicating some degree of cult, which sets him apart from another similar figure, Tiamat. As Ym's myth is generally believed to be older than the Enuma Elish, it's possible Tiamat was partially patterned after him. Of all the gods, despite being the champion of El, Ym holds special hostility against Baal Hadad, son of Dagon (or El). Ym is a deity of the sea and his palace is in the abyss associated with the depths, or Biblical tehwom, of the oceans. (This is not to be confused with the abode of Mot, the ruler of the netherworld.) In Ugaritic texts, Ym's special enemy Hadad is also known as the "king of heaven" and the "first born son" of El, whom ancient Greeks identified with their god Cronus, just as Baal was identified with Zeus, Yam with Poseidon and Mot with Hades. While Baal Hadad was the lead god in Ugarit, in the Baal cycle it is Ym who is favored by El, and he even briefly rules over the other gods. Baal only rises to power after vanquishing him with the help of his allies Kothar-wa-Khasis, Astarte and Anat. Yam's ultimate fate is unclear, as the text makes references to both death and captivity, and in later sections of the myth Baal talks about Yam as if he was still alive and a possible threat. While in the past researchers, especially those belonging to the myth-ritual tradition, interpreted the myths of Baal, Ym and Mot as a representation of the cycle of seasons and thus related to fertility rites, this view is challenged in more recent scholarship as incorrect or simplistic. His name comes from the Canaanite (Israelite) word Yam, meaning "Sea." 👿

Having said that... it us an herb that is given to us for healing... like anything people pervert its use , through overuse and mis use. Used in a methodical manner with actual assessment and appropriate dosing , it is an amazing medicine for so many things. Interesting to me that some of the same Christians that will villinize cannabis have no issues with taking pharmaceutical synthetics for anxiety , depression, mental anguishes and even pain ... and those are chemicals that open you up to incredible demonic activity... im a nurse in behavioral health and i can tell you demonic possession expontiates after meds. Nobody can completely understand the Bible unless they understand the relationship between the Old Covenant given to Moses at Mount Sinai and the New Covenant fulfilled in blood at Calvary. What brings all local churches together into one Body under the blood of Christ? The answer is found below. New Covenant Whole Gospel: Let us now share the Old Testament Gospel found below with the whole world. On the road to Emmaus He said the Old Testament is about Him. He is the very Word of God in John 1:1, 14. Awaken Church to this truth. Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by husband unto them, saith the LORD: Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1 (Gal. 3:16)? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel (John 1:49)? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? What did Paul say about Genesis 12:3 in Galatians 3:8? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis? Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart. Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36) We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18. We are come instead to the New Covenant church of Mount Zion and the blood in Hebrews 12:22-24. 1Jn 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 1Jn 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 1Jn 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. Watch the KZbin videos “The New Covenant” by David Wilkerson, or Bob George, and David H.J. Gay.

Every old religion has the same message, it's just a matter of cultural difference. That's why they have brahma in india, jesus in the west, atum in egypt, alah in the east. I am allergic to "my prophet is better than yours" mentality. Btw, jesus is not a historical figure, it represents a principle, a higher consciousness that we need to aspire to and find within, same goes for brahma, osiris, and all the representations of divines consciousness that you will find in every ancient scripture. The fact that you're still fighting over labels makes you look childish

I'm not trying to be snarky, but how can you say "God's word never changes" when there are so many versions of "God's word", including the Tanakh? And when you study them you find that different versions can and do have different meanings for the same verse.

Yes there are or have been changes made by man to, for example the King James bible. The changes were made for political reasons as king james was afraid of the Scotts because they said he was a man just like them. He wanted a hierarchy between him and the common people, hence we find the various offices. So the fact that Jesus told his deciples that they were all brothers, and to call no man father adds some confusion to some christians. The changes however do not change the salvation message.

1:14- " One of the aspects of the Jewish life was pleasing God " . Far from it. Read the Hebrew Bible carefully. Again and again, the Jewish people abandoned the true God and were whoring after false gods. Idol worship, sexual immorality, economic exploitation of the vulnerable people were the mainstay of the Jewish life. At onetime, there were only 7000 true worshippers of Jehovah. Right from Solomon most of the kings were active followers of false gods. The general impression is most of the Jewish people in the past were religious and were true followers of Jehovah. But a careful analysis of the Bible shows that most of them were syncretic , worshipping both Jehovah and Baal. It was for this reason they were exiled. Even now the picture is not different. Modern Israel is one of the most secular and atheistic countries. Jews make more followers of Eastern religions and the number of young Israelis flocking to India for seeking mysticism etc are increasing.

"One of the aspects of the Jewish life was pleasing God" That was what the scriptures taught in both the Old and New Testament. And it was indeed for the most part only a remnant that followed through on that teaching. You list a catalogue of Jewish failures down the ages and up to this day. Have you ever studied church history? While many professed Jesus Christ as Lord and had a greater level of resources than were available under the old covenant ( but Jesus has obtained a more excellent ministry inasmuch he is also a mediator of a better covenant Hebrews 8 vs 6- 9) it went on to also fail for the most part throughout its history apart from the remnant who would influence sections of time. And what about the various cultures of the world down the ages and the sin that consistently characterised and continues to characterise mankind everywhere. Yes the Jewish people failed God many times over but so has the church. Look at America and Britain both with a rich heritage of faith which shaped much of their culture albeit they were not by any means without flaws. Nevertheless much of the good that characterised these countries stemmed from the Judeo Christian faith. And look at how now both America and Britain are both aggressively trying to rid themselves of Christianity instead embracing the new religion of secularism with its own and much of it depraved value system. And how it seeks to and is often taking punitive measures against those who refuse to conform. And what about the lives of millions of children who over decades have been sacrificed on the altar of a woman's right to choose. Does the church in nations that were once called Christian have a better history than Jewish history. Both are guilty of serious failures but measuring one against the other achieves little other than a warning. Both will have to stand before God and be judged by Him. I find your comment has an edge of antisemitism bearing a chilling resemblance to a message that was put out not that many decades ago.

@@sarahlaslett3279 That you take my comment as ' antisemitism ' is unfortunate. I am neither antisemitic nor pro semitic. Your stand is similar to that of the Muslims. Any reference to their religion which is not liked by them is called Islamophobic.

Let us remember that the scripture tells us that the things Israel endured before the coming of Messiah were given us as an ensample.one that YHWH intended for us to learn from. His plan was for the seed of Abraham to lead the Gentile nations to Him. Just as they failed, to follow His instructions so to has what's called the church. The good news is He still holds His hands out for a remnant of people who will follow Him being guided by the same Holy Spirit that lead Yeshua. For even He learned obedience even unto the death of the cross. Without the Holy Spirit we can not accomplish that.

@sarahlaslett3279 you are 100%correct. As soon as the last deciples died, christianity followed the exact same path as the ancient Jewish nations. It would seem that the "Church" completely did the opposite of The teachings of Jesus. They followed their old pagan beliefs with the holidays of sunday, christmass, easter, lent etc. etc. They got invoved in wars with so called non beleiving nations. They brought in false hierarchies which gave people titles Such a father (in direct opposition to the words of jesus) Bishop, pastor, pope etc. etc. They murdered their own genuine christian people who simply whished to follow jesus in spirit and truth. Its as though Satan himself was/is ruling through these bodies. I think the reason for this is that the same spirit that caused adam and eve to fall, cain to kill able is still in the world and in the hearts of people. So the setting may change or the religious name may change but it is the very same deceiving spirit at work. So yes Jesus is the way and the truth and the life but only to those that accept him and walk accordingly through life as a new creation in Him. Everything else is futile the names, the titles, the organisations, the pride of life all lead eventually to death. So dont be fooled.

The hypocrisy is not selling pot, yet not waning your kids to smoke it, at least till they're older. The hypocrisy is putting your treasure in a place that supports something you don't believe is a good thing. We are told by the Bible to store up our treasures where our hearts are. So, really? You'd love em and leave em and not feel a thing?? You didn't feel the hurt you inflicted and feel repugnance to cause that pain?!! We don't need the Bible or Jesus to tell us to listen to our compassionate responses. We don't need to know that Jesus feels what we feel, to want to nit callously creat hurt. I think I'm done here 🤮
