I caught so much shit for commenting on other channels that I haven’t lost any respect for Danny. I said “he’s still a great artist and a cool human being”. I was accused of being a blind follower. I’ve never met Danny, but based on all of the interviews and the way he expresses himself, he seems like a genuinely cool ass dude. Maybe it’s wishful thinking on my part, but I know there can be some gray area amongst assault accusations. I really do hope he didn’t hurt anybody. I know someone who had a few too many drinks once and was accused of assault on a plane for falling asleep and leaning too close to another passenger. I’ll just say this… my heart goes out to whoever the true victim of this incident is.

The way the one on the left slams him against the window a couple of times even after the arrest has been fully completed - standard American policing. Small men taking out their rage at their own insecurities on people. Said this back when the George Floyd thing happened and I'll say it again - while policing is seen as a go-to fallback career for people who don't do so well in school, and then the only training they are given is physical restraint and how to pull a trigger, the standard is going to be low. This video doesn't show whether or not Danny deserved to be arrested, but it does show, like thousands of others, that cops in America are a fucking joke. Hired thugs.

The arrest wasn't "completed", they didn't even have both his hands cuffed yet. He was squirming the whole time. Im a big tool fan as well, especially of Danny Carey, and am looking sheerly objective at this. From what can be publically gathered about the story, he went to catch a college basketball game in Kansas and was heading out when he ran into an instigator who likely hadn't been drinking while Carey had. They have words and posturing ending in Carey touching two fingers to the other subjects chest...and the subject called PD. PD act like brutes because he happens to be a larger, fit, slightly inebriated man. The PD look like idiots and the instigator looks like a fool for making a scene so they won't prosecute. What was actually said and done is uncertain.

Yeah, we don't know the full story here. He always comes across as a super chill dude. It seems like he's had a drink, which it fair enough, apart from that we don't know any other details. Some police are heavy handed jobsworths (and some are outright evil murderers who shouldn't be anywhere near a police uniform) but police do a tough job, and we don't know the full story of what has happened here so we shouldn't pass judgement on the officers in the video.

They were amused because the policeman didn’t handcuffed him and just asked him politely to get in the police car while opening the door for him.
