Wished this episode had ended differently with say Danny only allowed his parents remember his revelation from the events of this episode and they first show them helping keep his cover via say in the end of the episode when another ghost is on a rampage, it go like: Danny: Uh, I gotta go… Jack: Go where you need to go, son. Maddie: (softly) But kick that ghost’s butt while you’re at it for us, please? (Danny smiled proud before going to an alley to change and flies off to action) Jack: (softly) That’s our boy. Maddie: (softly) Yes, our little half-ghost boy.

When I watched this as a kid I thought it was really heartwarming as soon as they discovered his secret identity Danny's classmates even the ones who bully him on a daily basis work together to get him to safety because he's helped them plenty of times in the past. On the other hand we're watching it I think showing him respect all of a sudden after finding out he's the town's hero is kind of shallow but I guess it's the thought that counts as Dash's genuine respect for phantom is one of his redeeming qualities also at first when everyone got on the stage to touch him like he was some type of alien I wonder if that was either good or bad but I also appreciate Sam and Tucker trying to protect him from the crowd talk about true companions.

Judging from this episode the attack of the killer garage and control freaks I wonder why so many people have Danny Tucker and Sam costumes especially for the latter. But it was kinda funny they had no Tuckers at the comic book convention. I'm also surprised costumes were already made in addition to the Danny phantom comic along with his and his accomplices faces being all over posters when Danny's secret was only revealed three days prior.

48:33 Actually captain yeet even though Lydia served freak show like the other ghosts in his debut this episode shows even though the other ghosts were being mind-controlled she serves him of her own freewill which is why she got angry at Danny when he trapped him in the Fenton thermos and despite his ghost envy freakshow genuinely seems to love her as he was really mad when he saw the guys in White had her in custody at the beginning. Judging from his comments at the beginning asking whether they should go to dinner or a movie it's possible she's the spirit of his ex wife/girlfriend/fiance.

@tamyasaunders7689 I didn't even think about it being his wife of girlfriend that makes it's somewhat sad and heartwarming they are still together/ I wished she had talked. All I kept thinking about was the mind controlling in the 1st episode he was in

The jazz and freakshow bonding moment in this episode was really nice. It's seems jazz is on her way to be coming a psychologist but her ghost envy is strangely never mentioned again but if she does have it I guess it's another reason why she resented her parents obsession with ghost at first.

Hi captain yeet reality trip was one of my favourite Danny phantom episodes because of the shock of Danny revealing his secret identity including the return of freakshow. I also enjoyed the jokes in the episode like Pauline's call back to the Paulina Fenton joke in pirate radio or the this is Fenton's fault pass it down train I agree with you that was hilarious. But I think this episode had wasted potential like Danny heard from himself his parents accepted him despite being half those but he's still erase their memories and we didn't get to see Valerie's reaction to discovering Fenton and phantom were one in the same or Vlad's reaction to losing his leverage over Danny.

@tamyasaunders7689 Hey This is really good, and yea, I wished we did get to see Valerie reaction to the ghost she tried to kill. Was her crush or Vlad spazzing or shocked I'm surprised he hasn't heard of the gotlet, or I would have like to see how the guys in white got. I would assume it would be somewhere in the ghost zone. Guarded / ghost king would definitely want this

You've watched static shock the show before captain yeet was the one with his best friend Richie Foley. I recently started watching the show too but regarding the secret identity thing. I just realized not many of Danny's ghost enemies do anything to reveal his secret identity but some like youngblood are not above antagonizing him in his secret identity as they all know phantom and Fenton are one in the same. So I wonder why Danny isn't worried about his ghost enemies knyow his secret identity since it's true the whole point of superheroes keeping their identities a secret is to protect their loved ones and it's especially bad if their enemies know l.

@tamyasaunders7689 Yea, I watched most of the show as a kid. i never finished it all the way it's a really good show, though im glad you're watching it I guess since most of them don't care since they kinda all ready know where he lives and his family, since they have to go through the ghost portal in danny house. It wouldn't really help them fight him

Captain yeet in response to your earlier statement about Danny's parents of course Jack and Maddie love their son and wouldn't dream of hurting him making Danny's fear I'm telling them his secret come off as him being paranoid but as I've said before Jack and Maddie while they love their kids have made questionable mistakes in the past like attacking Jazz in mystery meat when they thought she was a ghost not to mention Jack's first response when dark Danny told them their son was half ghost while played for laughs was to tell his wife for the record I blame you. Not to mention their actions in the Fenton menace where their response to their son supposedly having a mental breakdown is to put him on a spinning table to "spin the crazy out of him" with smiles on their faces while doing so and ignoring his obvious anger to being forced to go on a camping trip and being called crazy to his face and I think it's no wonder Danny was terrified to tell them the truth if that's what they do just because they think he's going to illusional imagine what they do once discovering he's the thing they despise. Even though it sounds ridiculous and fans may ignore it the Fenton menace is the one episode I hold against Jack Maddie and Jazz as I can ignore literally anything else they've done but the fact that they don't even do anything to make up for it not even Jazz when she was proven wrong makes me hate them even when I try though I tried to focus on their positive attributes and try to see things from their point of view. But like I've mentioned before the main problem is the jack and Maddie don't think about other people's feelings or their safety or their privacy like Vlad's accident and even fans say spinning Danny wasn't supposed to be a punishment that they sincerely thought they were helping him but I suppose in this episode they did some self-reflection and realized that just because they mean well doesn't mean they weren't part of the problem and they acknowledge their talk of destroying ghost made their son afraid of them it's too bad there wasn't proper resolution because Danny erased their memories but what do you think of everything I said captain.

@tamyasaunders7689 All your points do make sense of why Danny would be super scared to tell Jack and Maddie, especially the young blood episode I didn't even think of that they had Danny going through the ringer in that one/ And like you said, it was good they reflected on themselves some what and saw they were the problem and apologized
