Yeah, once I saw that Danny's destruction of the golf course was over 500 tons of TNT and that Jake's multi-wall fire blast was only about 30, it was over. That power output gap was just too much. Not to mention Jake's fire breath was outclassed by a dragon Danny canonically beat who could clear clouds. Freaking clouds! I know this was a Community Death Battle before, but even back then it was agreed that Danny wins rather easily. So I was hoping that they discovered something during research to make it closer(though with Danny still winning), but it doesn't really look like it.

Jake Long's dad doesn't hate monsters, he's just essentially a muggle. So in order to not expose his father suddenly to an overwhelming and possibly terrifying world-shattering life of myths and legends and the supernatural, he made sure to not reveal his powers to his muggle father at the behest of his mother and grandfather. His mother clearly had insecurities due to the magical nature of her family being so abnormal and she didn't want to mess up her chances for someone she fell in love with. Danny's dad, sure, HE hates ghosts, but in both cases, both teens end up in multiple scenarios, both on series finales and in memory-erasing shenanigans where their families are exposed for their true natures and all the parents do is reassure their sons that they love them no matter what they may be in a typical cliche wholesome message.

For all you guys whining how Ice powers beat out fire powers: While fire might melt ice, large bodies of ice have such intergalacticly good heat dispersion, with being made from water and having the tendency to directly sublimate instead of thaw under high heat. which takes like magnitudes more energy. Also, heat energy travels upwards and not sidewards, so it's actually really really hard to make holes into vertical walls just with fire alone. And while jakes output is fixed, once danny has put up an ice wall, he can just put up a second one behind or in front of the first one while jake tries to melt through it. If you want video game terms, it's an instant action versus a channeled one. That never works out well. Just try and see how long even your run of the mill icecube needs to melt away when you hold a lighter to it from the side. And, the dispersion properties of ice only grow, while the focus intensity of heat drops when scaling up. TLDR: Ice makes for wonderful, if a bit maintance heavy heat shielding.

Hey Butch Hartman I’m glad you liked the episode and I really hope you’ll bring the Danny Phantom series back one day soon because I love the show and I know for a fact that a lot of people miss it and want to see it get a fourth season
