For the pregnant women story. Being pregnant is a protected class in the US. Much how employees with disabilities are able to ask for reasonable workplace accommodations, so are pregnant women. So by the women asking for sections closer to the kitchen she was asking for a reasonable accommodation. Not only did the manager refuse to make that accommodation, he fired her over it. That can be counted as retaliation against a protected class. And yes that is illegal.

I have my own malicious compliance. So back before I was a fully grown human, I was a spunky little shit. Now I live in Florida, and it's always hotter than the Devil's Ass crack here and it sucks, so I stopped wearing shoes when we had lighter days in gym, which I had done for about two months without my coaches knowing. When they realized they told me I HAD to wear shoes. So, I wore flip-flops. Went on for about 2 weeks. Coaches told me they had to be closed toed shoes. At this point I was pissed, and I really didn't want to wear socks. I REFUSED to wear socks. So, I wore the hiking sandals I had gotten for my birthday. They couldn't say anything. The sandals were hard bottomed and close toed. They just had to stand there and say nothing.

I love provolone cheese. Here’s why. Because the simplistic notes of the cheese within itself are enough to satisfy the human tongue. Could be enjoyed with a bit wine (if feeling lavish.) Otherwise one can consume it alongside other deli delicacies. An interesting quality about it is provolone doesn’t overpower in flavor. An example would be my sandwich I consumed this morning. My father proceeded to add provolone cheese with sweet ham and genoa salami. Each single flavor note was equally distributed in the sandwich. From the sweetness of the ham to the saltiness of the salami…to then the subtle creaminess of the provolone cheese. It was as if though they intermingled in the royal palace, the palace being my taste buds. How they coordinated will never fail to amaze me.

EDIT: I love Brie because it tastes good and I can eat it like an apple (fits in my tiny hands nicely too) Ok here's my story of how I made my 5 piece fashion collection into an 8 piece on to spite my lecturer who hated me: I did a bachelor of design majoring in fashion and the unit coordinator/ lecturer for my major hated me (gaslighting, emotional abuse etc). At the end of third year there is a grad show specifically for the fashion students to have their collections presented on professional models at a paid event, an event my lecturer THRIVES at like "Look at me and all the work my students did thanks to my guidance"; it is her baby and she will shape everyone's collections so they suit her taste (which sucks). In my final semester after the first assessment she was making comments to me in private like "remember other people are featured in the show, we don't want your collection to bring it down" and "if your collection is in the grad show" so I turned around and said "Can I pass this unit without doing the grad show?" (I was under the impression it was compulsory) and she immediately backed down saying "Let's discuss that if we need to" but the thought was already in my head. She had already ordered me to work during my one week uni break (AGAIN) and so I had been studying non stop since mid February and it was mid September by that point. She had made belittling comments about my collection being 5 piece (originally 7 but mental health hit all time low) and wanted me to show her my progress weekly until the next assessment in mid November. I ended up pulling out of the grad show since it was not compulsory but worked even harder on my collection and ended up presenting an 8 piece collection inspired by my own trauma (shibari, kintsugi, bustle skirt, under-bust black faux leather boned bodice), it was fully finished with hems complete and hooks and eyes hand sewed above invisible zips (the only one who finished theirs, some classmates had garments that weren't even wearable yet) and since she had stopped showing interest in my collection after I pulled out she had no clue how much I had done till the day before when she said "You need 5 mannequins" and I replied "No, I need 7", "You have 7 pieces?" "No, I have 8. That one is mine" (pointing to my already tied shibari garment that takes 2 hours to put on the mannequin I own". I must say the calm I had whenever I spoke to her once I pulled out was great, I wasn't rude but I wasn't incredibly polite like I used to be and became very blunt, throwing her BS back at her when she made stupid comments and asking if I was required (by the uni) to do the stuff she wanted me to which was always a "no". Fond trauma memories. I just made my collection great to spite her, I refused to have my work make her look good. Once I officially graduate (the ceremony, I already finished study completely) I will be reporting her all the abuse she put me through in the 3 years I studied under her "guidance". Only time I'm not a bottom is when I sew, then I'm a switch lol Also Navina Stevens modelled my collection and posted it on her IG if you are curious

Yall reacting to this made me post my story that's malicious compliance: I was told my bag was against school dress code Ok so my high-school has an asinine dress code already, so this was ridiculous to to me. I was In class walking to my desk, we had 2 subs that day because my teacher had covid and so did the teachers aid. The sub for the teachers aid stops me and says I need you put my bag in my locker or I will be written a referral. Confused I ask her "why? I've been using this bag as a pencil case for 3 years now?" And she says "your bag is against dress code, go put it in your locker, NOW" so I leave class and put it in my locker after defiantly shoving all of my things into my sports bra, because I had no pockets, she gives me a disgusted look, but I put it in my locker. A few days later I am talking to the vice principal to see what's wrong with it, I say "sir I don't understand what's wrong with my bag? I see tons of people carrying huge bags around, I didn't think my tinny brown backpack was an issue" and he says "you could have a knife or vape in it, if you have a binder bag, your not against dress code" Confused i look up a binder bag that I like, he approves it and I buy it, when it comes in I'm laughing my ads off, this bag was THREE TIME THE SIZE of the bag I was dress coded for, I now don't even need my backpack, I keep everything I need in my binder now and don't use my locker for anything but storing the bag I was using before due to me now using it as a "girl products bag" I think this is considered malicious compliance, what do you think?
