Dante may have seen it as Brandon being the first to “want him out” but I am going to bet Brandon was the first to actually want to hold him accountable for his actions and try to help him grow through it. The Lord has high standards for his kingdom and praise God for Brandon for trying to keep members of Mav to that. Those that honor the Lord will be blessed and the Lord is pouring a blessing on him right now. Dante still hasn’t shown he’s grown through what he’s done. This interview was full of pride. He wants his career back but doesn’t care if he’s honoring the Lord while he does it. The way he spoke told that. There is no repentance here. I have always loved Dante’s music. Just pray the Lord helps his heart.

I am 70 years old and just this week December 29 2024 found Maverick City Music praise and worship songs. The first song I heard was For My Good and I could not sit down started praising and worshipping God Jesus and Holy Spirit then the 2nd song I heard was Wait On You and I was up on my feet doing the same. Don't let all the hype and worldliness take you away from doing what really matters which is changing hearts towards Jesus Christ through your absolutely beautiful praise and worship music. Sure having money is for sure nice and we need it But don't let the love of money get you. Please don't let the Industry take you into the darkness. You guys are so talented and I pray hearts will turn to Jesus through your music. It has surely touched my heart and made me get up praise worship God Jesus and Holy Spirit. God is the most important thing and I think from what am hearing is that you lost touch with God and allowed all the success to get in the middle of that. As for Dante, I love him and his songs with Maverick city are amazing and its really sad that he is not taking accountability and he keeps saying all our Christian favourites love Bad Bunny ,to justify himself dancing to the song....long story short when we allow ourselves to be guided by pride, we loose focus on whats really important. All we can do is pray for Dante and give him Grace for the Lord is not done with him yet.

I remember about a year ago (or more) Stefany Gretzinger was on this youtube interview spree. And she was talking a lot of todays worship leaders and things like that. Some of those comments were so strange to me at the time. To my mind we worship God in everything we do, our work, they way we serve our families, etc. Standing 45 minutes on sunday morning singing songs and praising God is not the only time of worship. Those 45 mins are important and they give us two things 1. undivided fully focussed worship/adoration to God 2. and it a model of how we ought to spend our own personal times in prayer. Stefany's comments were weird to me because what really is a so-called 'worship leader'. The 24 elders in the book of revelations they are worship leaders, who initiate worship before the Throne of God. All of our 'worship leaders' today are helping us see a model of worship in heaven, so I dont despise the role churches give to worship leaders. I am happy we have worship leaders who know what it is to lead worship in churches and even while touring (dare I say). But listening to this interview, I can see the point Stefany was trying to make. People need to get back to not just being singers in the church or singers of christian music but to actually live a life that backs it up. I understand that Maverick city or tribl or whatever you technically call yourself are trying to win the one lost sheep so you will go into strange places. Collab with strange people, it is part of wining the lost for Jesus. But you dont have to be equally yoked to them so much so that you become like them. Leading 'worship' while having One foot in the world and one foot in church will all come crashing down. Turn before the crash happens. I am open to criticism on this comment that I have made, I am not perfect but I felt this urge to say this.

Great songs though. Love them, great art. This is not ministry. Is career. This kid needs maturity. Like they themselves say” purify, I want to be consumed”

Leading worship is a career for some people just as being a pastor is a careers. These conversations attempt to address the nuance and dichotomy of the spiritual aspect of it as well as the professional aspect. Ignoring the business and professional aspect of the music industry doesn’t remove nor nullify the spiritual obligation or responsibility it simply makes it more important that you keep the correct posture and focus while you are doing it.

51:59 Is humility in the room with us? 😂 Idk, hearing "I'm the best worship leader" "I listen to myself to lead myself into worship" just sounds like pride, sounds weird, sounds like too much love of self, sounds very Kanye energy, very God complex. You can't forget who gave that talent, who gives you the air in your lungs, and you should make a point to acknowledge it every time. Even when people try to praise you, you should make a point to correct them and give the glory to God. Yes Christian music is still music, so ultimately you can't remove the business part, career part, money part, even fame part etc. but those things should not be the focus, the attitude should be ministry. We're to be set apart, in the world but not of the world. Ideally people be able to see a difference between the Christian music industry and the rest of the music industry.

Dang it’s hard. I really love Dante, and all the lord has gifted him with so it sucks to see all the pride and it’s not coming from a judgemental place, I really want to see him win. But the cursing in this interview shows his heart. It’s the “talking crap with my friends because I was angry” “I was upset that I didn’t get recognition for my song.”I get it, but worship is not about you. You minister onto the lord not to people. In anything you do God is teaching you. You have to be humble and say hey God I wasn’t recognized but that doesn’t matter, what matters is that you are, what matters is the people who hear it, you know what, it’s okay, the last will be first. Jesus taught this to James and John, be a servant first. This is just basic knowledge and wisdom. He said he left because he had to sit out for 6 months, even getting paid after listening to an artist who is funding everything we pray against.. he said his lifestyle is to expensive … Dang like I wish You could help someone truly, I really really love him but man you gotta have sensitivity to the holy spirit. Take up his will not your own. “I’m the best this, “we’re the best that” “ima do this for fun I enjoy it.” David enjoyed a lot of things, he wanted to build the temple so bad but it wasn’t what God wanted for him and he was obedient. It doesn’t matter how much you love music, this Is for Gods glory. Idk like as a worship leader this just be basic knowledge. Praying for him truly and giving him grace when God reveals truth to him.

I Love this! As much as this is about Mav and Dante it's teaching us as worship Leaders how important it is to be prepared. How this platform is so mighty, that When God anoints you for something no man can knock you down. But that the preparation of such an anointing is just as important when lifting up His name. Fasting Praying, having intercessors on rotation, and staying in prayer and in the Word are so important. You would think this is common knowledge but it's so easy to be distracted by the lights, the pride, the spirit of mamon. How important unity is and to be aware of division as it is the enemy's strongest weapon against us to divide us. To Always NO MATTER WHAT respect our leadership and keep gossip out. I have lived this first hand of course on a local and much smaller scale. TBH still healing through it. But I love God, my team, my church, and my leaders past the hurt and can stress enough how to listen past the faces on this panel and listen to what the Holy Spirit is speaking through these blessed men of God. Unity vs Division, Spiritual warfare is real, love and have grace for one another, and do not judge others or you will become like the one you judge 100% of the time. Love everyone! And Character flaws that needed to be worked through as well… I’ve learned that brokenness is expressed in different ways. And Gods grace is patient in our restoration even when others aren’t or are led to allow us to go through that process of change in solitude. I’ve been Blessed by Dante Bowes and Maverick City’s sensitivity to Holy Spirit and led worship at churches with the songs. Especially Gratitude. Eye opening to say the least what was shared. Although I will continue to pray (not just saying it) I will continue to get more understanding and learn the best way to navigate while looking like Jesus. God Bless Yall!

I think I speak for a lot of us when I say we loved the group of worshippers that were collaborating when Dante was a part of Mav, but if we consider what Mav’s identity is, the group was destined to change. Had the “members” not changed, Maverick would have only ever been a band… The website clearly states what the mission is, which involves making room for those the industry would not have otherwise made room for. Change is uncomfortable, and yes, comes with mistakes, and learning opportunities, but it’s a part of growth. I don’t believe Maverick City was created to ever stop growing, and changing, as long as the constant remains the “Firm Foundation” it was built on. Whatever we thought it was, it’s bigger than that, and bigger than us. It will continue to evolve within the boundaries the Lord has established.

Have you ever considered why we often get so caught up in pursuing things in this life? Could it be because we’ve misunderstood something about heaven and our place in God’s plan? Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15:19, “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied.” This reminds us that our understanding of eternal life and heaven directly shapes how we live now. Perhaps the reason we strive so much for earthly achievements is that we’ve been taught an incomplete or distorted view of heaven. Deep down, we sense that the Earth was made for us-that God has given us dominion over the works of His hands (Psalm 8:6). Yet, we’ve allowed misunderstandings about heaven to cloud this truth. And when we have a distorted view of heaven, we inevitably have a distorted view of ourselves and our purpose. The Bible speaks of three heavens, each reflecting a part of God’s creation and His design for us: 1. The first heaven is what we see with our physical eyes-the sky, stars, and moon (Genesis 1:1). 2. The second heaven is the spiritual realm where angelic and demonic principalities operate, influencing both light and darkness (Ephesians 6:12). 3. The third heaven is where God dwells, a realm of pure light and glory. Paul described being caught up to the third heaven, where he heard inexpressible things (2 Corinthians 12:2-4). These three heavens also mirror our triune nature as body, soul, and spirit: • Our bodies, connected to the first heaven, perceive and interact with the physical world. • Our souls, linked to the second heaven, are influenced by both good and evil, light and darkness. • Our spirits, born anew through Christ, dwell in the third heaven where we have fellowship with God. As believers, our spirits are made alive in Christ, and we are now seated with Him in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6). This isn’t just a future promise-it’s a present reality. Revelation 3:20-21 says, “If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. To the one who conquers, I will grant the right to sit with Me on My throne, as I also conquered and sat down with My Father on His throne.” Through faith, we have already been given access to the third heaven, the holy of holies, where we can experience communion with God. This fellowship with God transforms us. Our spirits flood our souls with His light, dispelling the influence of darkness and renewing our minds. When we live in this reality, the atmosphere around us changes, reflecting the glory of God’s presence. Our understanding of heaven isn’t just about a distant hope-it’s about walking in the kingdom now, as the light of God shines through us. Rather than chasing temporary gains, we’re called to pursue eternal glory, honor, and immortality (Romans 2:7). This is the purpose of heaven and earth-to bring God’s kingdom fully here, as it is in heaven. It’s not about escaping this world but about renewing it. Heaven isn’t a faraway place with mansions and golden streets; rather, the “mansions” Jesus spoke of in John 14:2 represent dwelling places in God’s presence, and the “street of gold” in Revelation 22 speaks of the singular path illuminated by God’s glory. If we grasp this truth, it will change how we live. We are heirs of all things in Christ (Romans 8:17), called to bring heaven to Earth through the Spirit alive in us. As we embrace this calling, let us allow the Word of God to shape our view of heaven, ourselves, and our purpose, so we live not for fleeting achievements but for His eternal glory.

57:09 Ok, so we've moved from leading true authentic worship to inspirational music? Why, to be more palatable? Like the Will Smith song? The ONLY inspiration and hope anyone needs is from God, and the Bible, his Word, is where we get that inspiration.

I'm seeing someone who refuses to take accountability of actions. Someone gifted by the Lord to write, sing with a great husky voice and lead others into worship. But refusing to acknowledge that private actions that became public are the reason for split.

53:45 Second time he's swearing in this video. It's scary to see how he doesn't even flinch, not even cautious of the platform, his influence. I can understand having a slip up if it's something he's still working on, but he's not even catching it after and apologising for his language, he's not acknowledging he shouldn't speak like that, which suggests he's comfortable speaking like that, no conviction, that's how he speaks in his everyday life. And the other guys aren't acknowledging it or correcting it or even bleeping it out. Literally on a worldly platform it'd be bleeped out, but on a Christian platform it's not 🤔🤦🏾♀️

@dante Humility is strength bro. Jesus had to tell me that when pride was alive and well in me. The word he said was "meekness ". And for me that word was always synonymous for weakness. But when you have an encounter with Lord , you can't ignore His voice and what he saying. Had to do a deep study on meekness the Jesus way.
@Naa_LouizaАй бұрын
Ehhh idk. I feel like Dante still missed the point. Maybe a lot of worshippers listen to Bad Bunny but should they? There's a difference between what people are doing and should be doing when presenting as worship leaders in the body of Christ. I'm sure he loves Christ and purposes to serve him but it gives a bit still misguided?- not in everything but in some of what he said. The pride. Praying for him.

@selfloverod103Ай бұрын
God calls us to spread the gospel. He left the 99 for the one. We as Christians should be doing the same. Who knows, them working with Glorilla might change her heart one day. We don’t heal the healthy, we heal the sick. We find the lost, you can’t be found if you’re not lost. I get what they’re saying, and I love Mavs music, and Dante, but sometimes as Christians we forget that we have to live for God, not just believe in him. 🩵💙

Please bring Dante back! A lot of the issues he’s talking about a normal issues that go on when you work in a group. It could be business, church, choir etc. It hurts when you feel sidelined or under appreciated. I know the goal is for God to get the glory and for the advancement of the kingdom but it still hurts you feel like some people that came after you are getting more spotlight than you. I get how he feels. The only problem was he didn’t take his hurts to Jesus.

Our lives as Christ followers should be all about forgiveness and reconciliation. There is a huge place for Maverick City in the industry, they have moved our hearts and changed lives through that mission statement. We have all sinned, that is why we needed our Savior, Jesus. Because of church hurt many have abandoned our churches across the country. We need to look at Jesus and his life and follow his way. And then make the process better in our organizations and in our churches.

He said he was joking about the Chandler thing. With the, “caught on camera,”he was being honest about how he felt AT FIRST. He didn’t say that’s how he feels now. He didn’t defend those feelings as the correct approach. I could be wrong, but I feel like you’re missing out on the context of what he’s saying

This makes no sense Benjamin. At work we all want recognition and to have unlimited potential, so what is wrong for a Christian artiste to want to show his gift to the world. How does his music inspire people when they don't get to hear it?

@@oluwaseunadefolarin7316 After watching the whole interview a couple of days later. unfortunaly, I have the same feeling from the first 5 minutes... Show your gift fair enough, but just so crazy how jaded both Dante AND Chandler seems to be after wild success in a industry that are supposed to glorify God and not oneself. Seems to me that personally Brandon Lake has done a much more humble and "better" job remaining a person that always glorifys God before talking about his own hard work. There might be a culture differance and unfair to compare these people, but all of them been instrumental to helping people seek God & find as path back to faith. With that I get a bad taste in my mouth when Danke seemed so selfcentered in the interview. Just my opinion and seriously thought I could not be the only one getting that vibe from this interview :/

Message to Dante, Brother you need to step back and meditate on the word and spend some exclusive time with our savior. You ARE gifted but bro something ain’t right with your current mind space and I don’t think this interview and the conversation really points that out. I feel like the other two are tip toeing around you and aren’t being real with you and tell you that you need to readjust yourself. Also on a separate note, The audience be trippin a lot and I get it but mavericks gotta be careful to not overcorrect.
