The depictions of each circles of hell are quite interesting reimagines to the original book depiction. To this day, i still think the Cerberus design of this game is probably the most creative, disgusting and terrifying i ever saw in any media ever.

I loved this game...still own it. It is clearly the "God of War" for the Xbox360. it's fun, immersive, and has a high replay value. I like the characters and boss fights, especially the grotesquely terrifying Cerebus fight!!! Games like this and "Asura's Wrath" deserve either a sequel or remake.

As well as Beowulf and Geryon being in the game/ though Geryon In The Devine Comedy portrays Beowulf’s looks. And Alighieri's find some sort of Dark Lion in a forest, which inspired (i assume) the creation of Shadow. Also Vergil being the one who gives Dante the final piece to go through Hell, after passing through many places that are somehow similar to descriptions of the book.

GOW: copy raygar and DMC, and uses Greek mythology as the basis for the whole story, even if in one game a character is a titan, in the next it is a human fans: oh this is so original Dante's Inferno: Creates level systems with executions, where you get two slashes to improve your skills, and gives the protagonist a sickle, and a cross. and uses as a basis a book with a mixture of various mythologies that form an extremely interesting mixture, leading to the best, strangest and original representation of cerberus GOW fans: wow, what a rubbish copy, it has no originality

How EA didn't stick with a bastardized version of the divine comedy is beyond me. A sequel to this game, preferably in the exact same hack'n slash format is something that would be very welcome in 2023.
