the creator also made bayonetta partly out of spite for not liking devil may cry 1 dante design cause he wasn't the only one to have artistic consolement in his original conception. So having this one person say "my character should win" is leaning heavily toward unfair bias cause he wasn't the only one to work on dante. Not to mention all the powerups dante got in successive titles without his input. Even if we aren't to make the assumption that the bayonetta creator created her to solely outshine just DMC 1 dante(it's a possibility but I'm not saying anything is concrete here). By the point that bayonetta 1 came out, dante has had about 2-3 games worth of canon to his name. With bayonetta only getting 1 successive title. We could make a similar assumption that bayonetta 2 was created to outshine dante in dmc1-4. Well by the time of bay2's release, I hope the dude wouldn't be holding such a grudge over something that was made 10+ years ago. So because of that large time gap, though bay's creator did help conceive dmc1 dante. It doesn't make his word on the matchup today 100% absolute cause (again) of all the additions that took place without his creative input.

You dont know much about Dante do you? Dante was nerfed in this fight. Many styles were not used, like Royal Guard which is unbreakable or trickster to avoid any attack. Not to mention the ultimate form, Majin Devil trigger.

D Carmo21 well majin form isn't the ultimate one but its the second most powerful. The only form that is more powerful than the majin form is the perfect devil trigger which makes him all powerful. The only problem with the perfect DT is that he loses his humanity and becomes a feral demon.

Debateable. I think they're about the same level in terms of strategy and range of moves, as well as in terms of how easily their moves can be anticipated. Besides, she doesn't need to anticipate a move to dodge it, is how fast she is. She was only ever caught off guard when she didn't previously know she was under attack. That being said, I don't recall Dante ever really being caught off guard either, he more sort of just takes the hit because he can come back from it.

I posted this on the actual death battle video page, but I also want to post it here to and see what our hectic community has to say. This is just my opinions and I felt the desire to write them down, so here it goes: I watched this video while on lunch at work, and while I thought the animation was slick, the voices pretty damn good, though Dante's could have been better in my opinion - he seemed pretty quiet vocally then Bayonetta and had a hard time hearing some of his lines. It is my, pretty worthless, opinion that the fight itself was not exactly fair. How can you expect anyone, let alone a human, fight against a character (in this case Dante) that has super-human healing abilities, (Or just one, I suppose) on an equal playing field? It makes the entire fight one-sided at the end of the day, as it said. It makes the battle completely pointless to watch as the outcome is easily guessed. Of course Dante would win, since any wound afflicted merely heals itself. (Or around a sword...) While, the video is well done and fun to watch, just knowing from the start who would win doesn't necessarily give it any actual suspense. At least put opponents together that can actually get killed as opposed to only one out of the two contestants fighting that has that true risk. Any other person would have met their end in that Iron Maiden, who isn't able to naturally self-heal. Know, that I am both a fan of DMC and Bayonetta, (and the genre they are a part of), and was not rooting for one side or the other, completely unbiased for either Dante and Bayonetta. In the future, please have characters that are on a more physical playing field, more equally matched. That being said, and in closing: I did like the video despite the unfair advantage Dante had over Bayonetta. Keep up the good work, and for goodness sake, choose more evenly matched characters to fight, and no more regeneration characters.

Think about it because if you want to talk about game mechanic, there will be a more flaw to your argument then before. Dante didn't even use his Majin and Sparda Form yet either. Dante didn't even use the rest of his weapon either. Granted neither did Bayo but pull out more of her arsenals than Dante was well. You should thank God that Dante didn't use his Just Guard because according to you, if Just Guard applied, all of Bayonetta's strike will be negated because you wanted to Gameplay Mechanic that much.

In all due respect but as a fan of both character i highly doubt that Dante would ever fight seriously against a human women, what more unleash fatality upon her (brutal btw). I personally think that Dante would rather intentionally lose or just play around for a bit. *DMC Dante on the other hand is more likely to finish her off in that fashion. But due to this being a Death battle and all i would give it a pass. I love Bayonetta but Dante is just too OP & iconic to lose.
