The best thing about Arun Dias Bandaranaike has been that, despite being so well versed in the language of English, he doesn't attempt to show off in terms of his diction and phraseology unnecessarily. More often than not, he strikes the perfect balance between the simplicity, the clarity and the accuracy in most aspects without compromising the elegance of communication too, better than most others around. Adheres to the standard pronunciation properly with the proper attention on the punctuation too, without jabbering quite unnecessarily complicated statements filled with unnecessarily complex terms adopting any fake accent/s either. Hence, though he still maintains a certain distinct level of profoundness in terms of his overall speech, the message remains uncluttered and precisely to the point, which happens to be the hallmark of a great communicator ....

In my life I like very much to listen 2 voices always on narrations 1. Sir David Frederick Attenborough 2. Arun Dias Bandaranaike No one can compare to their explanation... the way of presentation.... the words they use to present.... style of presentation and the majestic voice is truly magnificent and unique... My favorite was Ravi John Richard D’ Soyza Niranjan Abeysundara Noelin honter And many more to mention and we got the opportunity to talk to them over the land phone( there were no mobiles) I love them all n sorry to say we don’t have such amazing announcers any more. Long, long ago in the 90s I had the pleasure and great honor to meet him and spend a little time with him while I myself was training to be a presenter at the Colombo Communion Centre (CCC) where he was presenting a JAZZ programme once a week!
