Do you yell unnecessarily only when you're filming? Why?

This comment is really just a testimony for the Energy Management vs. Time Management concept. I recently started a family and a year ago I decided that I was going to start getting up at 3am M-F. I get my best work and workouts done during this time before the rest of the family wakes. 2014 was our best year yet and I'm confident this way of knowing how to manage my energy has had a lot to do with it. Another great share Dan! Thanks for these videos!

Great video! I love to call it self management more than time management. It's about prioritizing your tasks and not get distracted. I do agree that energy has a lot to do with productivity because if you put the wrong energy into the wrong task, you'll be exhausted. Thanks for the upload!

Love it Dan. Just wrote some notes from this video & started implementing this. I just wanted to let you know over the last month, I think I double my productivity. Literally feels like I am always in momentum rather than in constraint. Thanks for sharing your advice here :)

Interesting idea. Managerial type people often forget to calculate not only physical and time costs, but also the physical or mental energy costs. I'm definitely heavily focused on the efficient use of my physical or mental energy vs just time efficiency, though both concepts are important.

This was really helpful on a "root cause" type level. Thank you for this! It seems basic at first but all of these tips matter and the more you do them the more your life improves over-all.

This was hugely helpful. I've tried to go get groceries, errands and make the menu & list all in the same day. AHH!! My poor brain is so fatigued by the time I get to the grocery I come home with the most interesting things. Thanks

Early workout is the best way to get energized, eating lean is a great way to avoid sugar crash during the afternoon ! I can't agree more that the roadblocks need to be resolved in the morning so that if an unforeseen task/risk or whatever comes up we still have 24 hours to react ( reminds me daily standups in scrum ). Awesome video Dan Cheers from Montreal.

+bassem hamdi yep, I use scrum/agile techniques in my personal life (and to run my overall business). Most successful entrepreneurs have shitty relationships because they don't apply the same principles there.

Very true Dan! I would also add how to change your routine to suit this approach. And for me this is all about slowly adding good things to your routine making sure they become a habit and then move on to the next change. Trying to change all at once just gives me a lot of excuses not to change... Hope that make sense... Anyway thanks Dan!

Really good start *****! Lighting and sound were perfect. And the background was not distracting at all. For one of you next videos, can you talk about how you balance work and family life? i.e. do you work weekends? do you work evenings? what "lifehacks" do you use to get more done with less involvement?
