Played this last year in a summer concert as the principal Tuba as we have 2 tuba's,only we played the orchestral version,such an amazing piece and just as good as the wind! that's the perfect speed for it from 4.12 until the end and the Trumpet shakes were just amazing!

I love this I wanna play it so bad! The GA South All-Region symphonic band played this and Sheldon was their conductor. Sadly I was only in the concert band, but at least I got to see him! I love to play songs like this, cultural songs, like Strange Humors by John Mackey(African) or Arabesque by Samuel Hazo(Middle Eastern/Saudi Arabian).

this version lacks any energy at all. When my ensemble played this, the crowd literally turned their heads and dropped their jaws at the trombone and trumpet solos. and the instrumentalists could have easily run a marathon at the end of the song.
