To the people who thinks Drogo would have "kicked Gregors ass"... Wat?! Look, I liked the guy too, fuck, even Oberyn was one of my favorite characters in the book, but he still wouldn't have stood a chanse. Or, he might have if he wasn't so goddamn fucking boastful. Either way, Gregor is massive. He's like what, just shy of 2 1/2 meters in the books. Drogo is pretty badass but Gregor is a fucking human tank. That's kind of his deal. He's basically unbeatable because he's a massive, psychotic, raging tank that cut the HEAD CLEAN OFF HIS STALLION WITH ONE SWORD SWING! Khal Drogo would be minced meat almost instantly. Don't let your love of a character blind you of their faults and weaknesses. That's just silly.

you had a westeros brawl with two very weak opponents (with viserys and geofry) i think maybe you should do the opposite, of arthur dayne and barristan selmy(considered the two best swordsmen in the seven kingdoms) i think it would be a fairly balanced fight if you take barristan at hes prime and arthur with dawn, they seem to have a similar physical skill mental prowwes and political status.

Hey Danzie, love your videos, especially Westeros Brawls. Your Tywin vs. Stannis video is great and the two are a really good match for each other. After re-reading the books, I've noticed a huge comparison between the two characters. The only real difference between the two is the positions of power they are in and total experience. Stannis doesn't have the respect that Tywin has.The tv show storyline of Stannis is ruined and is nothing like book Stannis, however I don't blame that on the actor, I love Stephen Dillane and quite like his portrail of the character. The Tv show storyline is kinda pathetic and weak, where as the book character is decisive, strong, cunning and on par with Tywin when it comes to being a battle commander. He is way more like Tywin and a fight between the two would be very close. However due to Tywins position of power and overall experience, he would win. Book Stannis is awesome aswell as Tywin making them both my favourite characters.

young robert vs. barristan shouldn't really be a question :o I mean you could argue wealth and mental but physically there's no doubt in my mind that Barristan should be the better fighter. Yeah Robert is freakishly strong (might even win regarding strength alone) but Barristan is one of he great swordsmen of all time...

I actually think you should give one handed jaime better numbers in political ^^ One handed jaime is now lord commander of the kingsguard, leader of the lannister forces, the one to settle the uproar in the riverlands. Not that that would make a difference. But it makes no sense to me, why a two handed jaime, who is just a member of the kingsguard and commands just half of the lannister forces under Tywins command would get the same number in status and wealth as oone handed Jaimes would who was put in charge of the entire Lannister forces by Cersei, and is Lord Commander of the Kingsguard. Not to mention that uncle of the king is definitally a better position than disliked brother in law to the king.

I really like this update, but I hope you continue calling out the show runners on bullshit, when they get something blatantly wrong. Making flaws is inevitable and it is great to see that your critical of yourself. One thing I disagreed with is Jaime being able to push Oberyns buttons, giving how he showed restraint even against the mountain, who killed Elia, until he was almost dead, how arrogant two-handed Jaime is and how Dorans "grass and viper" speech seems to imply that he deliberately plays up his hot-headed persona.

were did he show restraint there? the mountain didn't really push his buttons. more the opposite, Oberyn tried to provoce the Mountain and in the end, him not having any restraint was his undoing. And Jaime is good at pushing buttons. He even pushed Briennes buttons who is not half as hot headed nor prideful as Oberyn is. Jaime was a good talker. Still is. Don't say that that's whats goin to happen. But it is an option. (I do think Jaime one handed should get a higher number in political^^)

Yes it is an option, I just do not think that it is going to happen, because I think Oberyns rage against the mountain is far greater than the one towards Jaime and he showed some restraint in his fight before Gregor was essentially down for the count, dancing around his opponents, waiting for good times to strike, reflecting light into his eyes, with his shield, instead of blind rage-induced rushes. Brienne is not as prideful as Oberyn, but to her Jaime was a perversion of the perfect knight ideal she strives towards, combined with her insecurities, frail ego and the added pressure of the situation made her vulnerable to Jaimes taunts. In a way Oberyns ego would prevent Jaime from getting under his skin in the same way. This combined with Dorans speech leads me to believe that it would be more likely for Oberyn to successfully push two-handed Jaimes buttons, who after all is quite sensible towards being insulted with Kingslayer or insults towards Cersei or him getting cucked by Robert, than him doing the same to Oberyn, although I find it relatively unlikely for either to be very successful.

but pushing buttons does not only mean enraging something, but it could lead to all kinds of ways to lower the oponents guard or make him do somehing stupid or rash. rage is most obvious of course... but it could also be... and at least Jaime is a lannister... so he could theoretically say, he knew about his fathers orders and purposefully didn't protect the kids... not like Jaime isn't in a position to provoce wrath from Oberyn. But you're right of course. I also think it's unlikely, but I think the very fact that Oberyn did only ever loose against somebody who was actually possibly weaker than him (Clegane) because of his temper and arrogance should be taken into account here, and is something somebody like Jaime could use to his advantage one way or the other.

Yeah it is definitively a factor, but I think people tend to oversell it, with Danzie singling it out as the deciding factor in the video. (to be fair the battle would have otherwise been extremely hard to call) One thing worth noting is also how reckless it was of Jaime to pick a fight with his only available ally (Brienne) while in a bad condition, in enemy territory, which ultimately resulted in the loss of his hand. Even if Oberyn gets as riled up as in his fight against Gregor and gets careless after a serious hit Jaime can not come back from injuries as good as Gregor and even if, he lacks the strenght to overpower Oberyn. If Oberyn and Gregor would have been matched in Danzies duels Oberyn would have won without injuriy, he just had to keep Gregor alive for his interrogation regarding Tywin otherwise he would have killed him. Btw I also think one-handed intelligence should be higher :)

Dude, you still totally underestimate Drogo. Not nesc in the physical prowess department but in nearly everything else. I mean, 3 in int...? You don't get to the top of Khalasar being a tool. 6-7 here at least. Same with will. Easy 9-10. Status as well could be argued. Within his world, he's at the top. 7-8 here. Off all the dudes in game of thrones, he's the guy I'd want by my side if shit was going south.
