This is the type of music that makes me want to visit the great land of Ireland, the land of my ancestors. One day I'll make it across the pond.

Hands of magic on those pipes
@jameslinnane68684 жыл бұрын
The pipes (being so powerful) is a difficult instrument by which to accompany a delicate song such s Daoire sings, but not of course in the hands of that genius Blackie. His playing (when required) is so emotive, evocative, and so understated, is the perfect accompaniment for a delicate song . What a rare talent . James Linnane Doolin

Lol, he is only playing the drones during the song... Should be a basic skill as a piper
@TheGavranatar11 ай бұрын
Aye what a melt. i cant play the pipes, but i tried out my friends after about 10-11 pints one night and i could still manage to play the drones well lol

It's the Uilleann Pipes, the Irish Pipe as opposed to the Bagpipes....which is mostly played by the Scots.

thanks!
@evahegarty7413 жыл бұрын
Uilleann in irish means elbow, which makes sense when you see how the instrument is played

Why does this come with an inappropriate warning? there's children in the crowd. Is it the first line maybe offends some...
@meowmocha123 жыл бұрын
I have no idea. I've noticed that warning on a few videos lately, and can't figure out why they recently got marked as such.

Did they knock over the mic at the end or what? :D Fantastic that they carried on
@oisin30165 жыл бұрын
The Mic that was attached to the Bouzouki fell off, probably from all the jumping around, some craic..! :) Blackie actually gives him the nod to come closer to him so that the zouk could be picked up on the Pipes' mic for the remainder..great set
